My husband became unwell part way through our holiday and we have had to stay extra time. We are still here!! The wardens have checked in on me and asked after husband every day.
The site itself is well laid out and pitches signposted clearly.Its tricky to get to, down very narrow lanes, but we were sent an easier route by the site.It's in a beautiful area, close to the beach and some beautiful villages to visit. I would wholeheartedly recommend this site.Niepolubione: Not a dislike more disappointed that the wedding barn venue cannot be accessed by campers anymore. My son had highly recommended, but we couldn't use it, however there is a small bar area for campers. But that's it, all the rest is brilliant

The decision was taken over a year ago to make the wedding into a separate venue, so the Cowshed is used for all wedding receptions and is closed to the general public.
The new bar on the campsite has been well received and will be undergoing changes this winter, along with a new shower block being in situ for next season.

Pitches are spacious, well laid out, flat and clean. Shower block is really clean and well maintained, hot water, good showers, great little bar, friendly staff, good clean wash up area with several sinks and hot water, a freezer for freezer blocks - everything you need for a comfy, non-commercial, personal touch campsite. Location is close to the beach too - easy 15 min walk. And you can get takeaways delivered - JustEat has some local options with free delivery (we saw the delivery guy come about three times on one evening!) We've been back here three times now and love it every time. Each year there are improvements made although we've always thought it was great.
Niepolubione: It would be good to have more recycling options - only glass seemed to be recycled as far as I could see. And it was a shame the big barn wasn't open to use. On rainy days that was a great place to hang out and watch a movie, but this is a minor quibble. The barn is mostly used for functions and weddings. In previous years there's also been food by local caterers which was a great option for eating.

The company we use for our waste disposal is the Zero to Landfill company, who take all our waste away, so although it doesn't look like we're doing much, none of our litter goes to landfill.
