Lots of space

Toilets not very nice and no hot water in pot washing room although they did provide a kettle for some hot water

They only we liked was the manager who we totally felt sorry for he was doing everything

Where do I start been camping for a few years and always look for a good campsite by the reviews we booked this site as our tent is big and the pitches are a good size the reviews were good obviously from last year with the previous owner the site is a building site which didn’t really bother us but the toilets were not acceptable they had no hot water we are still going through a pandemic !!!!! and the showers were absolutely disgusting I can’t even explain how bad they were I think pitch up should look at this site and demand they sort out the toilets and showers there is also not a lot or do when you are there

The pitch space was large, and lots of choices of location around the field.
The Toilets and Showers are in a separate block, clean and tidy

The only point to make was the Food Marquee

The lady arrived late (wasn't a problem as very relaxed and seating to wait) but then charged us different prices to what was advertised on the board (blamed the management, but think this was a little unfair)

If you are wanting to go fishing maybe wait until the renovations are finished as the "pond" is a little empty.

The unclean toilets, no pub or restaurant as advertised there was a tent serving lovely food but doesn’t take card payment.

Shop not being open until 8pm - used to be handy for chips and pizza etc for the kids. Closes at 6 now…
Shop not opening at all in a morning (was told it opened at 2pm!!!)- we left at 12 and it wasn’t open then…. We used to nip for butties and coffees in a morning - much easier if not staying long. One of the reasons we liked it there was because of this facility as it Saved us taking all all the equipment for a quick 1 or 2 night trip.
No card machine. Huge issue for us as non of our party carry cash and there has always been a card machine available on other stays.
Most places now offer this… Food is still being advertised on the board upon arrival… why if not available? (pic attached)

Flat field with play area in the centre.
Good sized pitches and accommodated for us to be next to our friend and her children who had no electric.
Clean and powerful showers but very basic.
Quite at night, and small shop offering kids toys and some food

Caravan turned into pot wash station and toilets.
No hot water to clean pots or hands in toilets.
Kettle had to be boiled to clean pots, which was difficult when all sinks were in use.
Wasp nest near our pitch in the woods and where children play on rope swings, when told about it the staff didn't seem bothered and just said it's because they were digging up the site in other places, which they did throughout the weekend.

Very nice sight and very reasonable price

Very clean facilities, big open area so you weren't on top of each other. Little shop open selling food, cold drinks and toys for the kids. Was a lovely campsite.
