The site is spacious and kept very clean. Shower blocks are good. The showers turn off early so you have to keep the button pressed in. But it’s not bad by any stretch. The lights are on automatic and don’t come on early enough, so it’s dark in there some days. This lost a star for me. Reception is open 9-5 and has some basic foodstuffs which is handy. Cider shop also on site!
Local village is walkable but on country lanes.
We got great reception on Vodaphone.
We would definitely visit again.

Caravan toilet waste area could be better, I.e not just an outside dirty toilet, hence 4 stars, not 5.

Location, food vans, entertainment!

Cold showers, no information/map on pitch location was told where it was but after a long journey forgot so had to run around looking! Wi-Fi charged for, lots of lovely dogs but awake early with barking etc, take earplugs

Convenient location. Good facilities. Level pitches. Clean and tidy.

Shop could be better stocked with local produce

*Showers & W/c facilities, clean and spacious. In the gents, use the last three cubicles as they have the better showers!
*Scenic views, beautiful Devon hills.
*On site office and shop; enough for a few essentials.
*Communal freezer for blocks!
*On site entertainment and food; Friday saw a Jamaican theme with gorgeous food. Good live music and a bar with local produce (and pasties).
*Drinking water was free on site from taps.
*Plenty of space between pitches, not always level due to the geography of the area.
*Not too far from local town.
*Nice walks and great for dogs.
*Perfect for the VW T5 and my youngest son.

*Getting to the site; in a van or caravan it gets tights in the lanes, a few stand offs!
*Paying for the wifi. Yes, we were on holiday but if your kids need the iPad or their phone to chill, there’s not a lot of signal.
*Local football team have an actual stadiums behind the site. A few late parties but no massive issues with noise.
*Not much for ale lovers; mainly cider and lager, all local.
*Entertainment was brilliant in the barn, you’ll need to get there early to get a seat.
*No real playing facilities for kids; no park but plenty of space to play ball games etc.

The size of the pitch

Didn’t really get a friendly greeting when arriving on site .. we were done in the bottom field which was fine .. the toilet block was clean but there was no hot water so the showers were ice cold .. which is probably why they were clean as no one was using them!! No rubbish facilities ( that we could find as we were not given a map ) the site is down a very narrow road and there is no signage on the roads nearby ..

Location

The fact our allocated pitch was already taken. Asked to use another pitch for 2 nights then move over to our allocated pitch. The temporary pitch given was actually used by MH which turn up after a day out. Ended up sharing one pitch. Then when everything got sorted the sight used our extension lead for another pitch they did add junction plug a gave small lead to plug into our MH
