Well laid out. Quiet and pretty area.

Great peaceful spot in the woods with it's own duck pond. Great location which allows either fantastic walks direct from campsite or via short drives. Campsite manager was very helpful and very cheerful. Looks like they have invested a lot of money recently in doing up the campsite. I had read previous reviews about the toilet/shower block being dated, personally I did not mind the decor, for me it was more important it was clean and accessible which it was on both accounts - I believe these will be getting an upgrade soon too anyway!

Will definitely come back and use this campsite again!

Friendly efficient staff.
The toilet block is a bit dated but everything was clean and there was always plenty of hot water.
We really enjoyed our view onto the small central loch with ducks to watch.
Very peaceful overnight.

Lack of WiFi but we understand this is currently being installed.
The dish washing area didn’t have a roof over it.

Rural location, peaceful. Toilets clean and tidy, Nice setting with little lake in middle for fishing .Pitches good and spacious, let's u have fire pits.

Great spot for camper van. Electric connection, hired a fire pit and could collect firewood very close by, by lovely pond and ducks. Access to wee lochan nearby. Cafe on site. Toilet/ shower block was spotless

Glen esk new set up but still the same old poor shower block,site is definitely better for motorhomes and a lot brighter than before I think it will get better in time.

the setting is quiet well laid out the pitches are flat and not overcrowded with plenty of room. it is quiet and peacful easy to get to, great location

the showers are tired and in need of revamping. only one working in ladies block. there are no wash up or laundry facilities. the elsan point was too far from pitches, as were the water points. for £35.00/night would have expected the facilities to be a lot better.

Location was everything and the walks directly from the site and hospitality from staff was first class.

Washing Up Area would be better with a cover. Bin areas (some) looked unkept).
Could certainly do a lot more.
Toilets and showers are in need of a review and still not sure why I could use the accessible shower for free, yet had to put 20p in the meter in the others.
Nothing really to complain about, these were just observations, based on a couple with a camper van and 2 small dogs who travel around the UK two / three whole weeks a year and as many weekends as possible around work.

The location was peaceful and quite remote. Fishing on the lake/pond is available free of charge. Pitches were a good size. Edzell village is about 2 miles away so a fair walk, otherwise nothing else locally.
The fishing lake is about 2 feet deep in most places, so more of a pond than a lake. Plenty of roach but did not catch any carp or tench that are supposedly in there.
This could be a really nice site if the facilities were to be improved.
There is a cafe/restaurant on site but with limited opening days/times.

The toilet/shower block was adequate but not particularly modern. I could only get one shower, out of the two available in the gents, working. The block really needs updating to meet today's expected standards.
Card wasn't accepted as a payment method so I had to pay in cash which meant I had to make a trip into Edzell (about 2 miles) to get cash from the Post Office.
There was no Wifi available on the pitches although I'm told it was available in the reception office.
