I don't only speak for myself but other members of my family too, who also stayed at Fendicks Fishery on the 12th of February for a family camping break.
Firstly, in all of the years of our experience camping we've never came across where we have to pay an additional charges for electric, as its normally either a pitch with or without electric and not optional, the website wasn't clear and also we wasn't advised until our arrival.
The pitch itself was tremendously boggy and a hazard, as my farther of 67 years old slipped three times After speaking with your colleague Wednesday, he did admitted that we shouldn't have been pitched at that location, as the lake next to us had been flooded a couple of weeks prior to our stay, and that the field behind us was more than adequate for us to have pitched up, the worst is we had hardly any rain during our stay either. The gentleman took down my details and advised that Management would be notified and will contact me in due course.
Also the facilities were in a very poor state. I tried to use the washing facility but at one point didn't work, and when it did decide to work, the boiler was leaking really bad with only had cold water coming out of the taps.
With the family room, the plug to the sink was stuck a lot of the time and struggle to empty it, there was one point we had a screw-driver to try to release the plug otherwise it would have overflowed.
As I stated earlier when you book a camping trip or any trip for that matter you and your family have the right to enjoy it. The whole stay for us was a painful experience on all parts and unfortunately one we will not encounter again at Fendicks Fishery.
