Loved it here. My son and his friends loved it too we had our kayak and paddle board and had the lake to ourselves and a lovely spacious grass spot to enjoy our music and enjoy our BBQ.

Peaceful, spacious and spread out pitches, Alan super friendly, dog loved it. We had a fab time as a group.

Just the one portaloo but we was close by luckily so no issue for us.

- location is beautiful and just what we wanted from wild camping
- large pitches widely spaced apart with great views so you feel truly wild
- on ground fire pit provided which was great as didn't have to worry about burning any grass
- silent at night, so peaceful.
- friendly communication with Alan with easy check in and showed us to our pitch with ease.
- clean (single) portaloo well stocked with toilet roll
- parking at the pitch was brilliant

- one toilet for the whole campsite (luckily we had our portable one with us)
- no bins or waste facility meaning we had to take our waste home - (this is stated on the website) which is fine but a large bin at the entrance or near the portaloo would improve the experience especially at that price.
- Should be clearer that one pitch can have multiple tents on which Alan OK'd on arrival so that would have saved us money!
- checkout time is incorrect on pitch up (says 6:30 when Alan said on the text it's 6pm sharp) which we based our arrival time on originally given we have work.

Most pitches are near to lake & absolutely amazing view on evening & morning

Stunning place, put my bivvy up in the woods next to the lake stunning views the water looks mint, fishing was not to good but put that down to the heat I saw a lot of carp on the surface good size to. Really relaxing and right in the middle of mother nature would recommend to anyone fishing or not.

It's one of the most relaxing places to stay. Always great communication. Always a pleasure to visit. Rural and without fuss. It's great.

Maybe a couple more portaloos would be useful
