Great site with good facilties and lots of space. The owner Paul is great, comes round for a daily chat, and can't do enough to help out. The sea views are brilliant, but the downside is if the weather is bad it can be very exposed and windy. Short walk to the beach, but return leg up a very steep hill. Overall we had a brilliant time despite some unfortunate July weather!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Paul made us feel really welcome and couldn't do enough to help. He works so hard and always made time to come and have a chat with us and check we were enjoying our stay. The campsite had the most incredible 360 views of fields with sheep and cows and the sea view was amazing. Facilities always really clean and never had to queue. Very handy fridge and freezer at no extra cost. Also a really nice undercover seating area with a light which came in handy when it rained. Lots of picnic benches by the pitches if you don't have your own table/seating. The campsite is very peaceful and we felt relaxed there. The field is large enough that children can play away from the pitches and pitches were spaced out well so that your view wasn't obstructed at all. We saw lots of birds of prey too. Paul's pet sheep and lamb have a pen in the field with you and were very friendly. Fresh free range eggs always available to purchase and were delicious. Paul brought us a big bag of firewood for £5 which was great as the shops were charging £10. You can also hire fire pits but we had our own. Bewsheas tapas is a must - we couldn't fault the food and service and cocktails went down well! Coastal path is close by and access to the beach. Had a few drinks at the local pub which has an outdoor area that overlooks the beach. We really enjoyed days out in Looe, Fowey, Charlestown (Spring Tides does the most amazing seafood... The clam chowder was the best we've ever had and we've had quite a few!), Mevagissey and Plymouth which are all within about an hours drive or less. We also spent a day near the campsite exploring the coastal path and Downderry. Thank you for having us Paul!

Can't say I used anything other than chemical disposal, but everything looked clean and tidy.

Not a campsite issue, but the approach lane is narrow.

This was the perfect campsite. Absolutely glorious views; huge pitches; clean facilities; the use of a communal fridge and freezer was a bonus; charging point for phones; fire pits and BBQ's allowed; a really friendly host.

Hilltop site with views of the sea from every pitch. Pitches are arranged in one long row, so the view is never obscured.
The bathroom / washing up facilities are immaculately kept and quite homely. They're very practical with hooks and places to put bottles etc.
Paul, the host, is lovely.
Downderry, a stroll away, has a cliff-top pub and a really good tapas place.

The beach has concrete flood/erosion defences that detract from it's charm. However, there are beaches like Sharrow a short drive away that are spectacularly beautiful.
