Narrow roads but that isn't the owners fault , it's Cornwall

Wonderful views. Nice, flat pitches. Very helpful and responsive owners. Decent facilities. There is a covered area with two picnic tables, a large fridge, a freezer and small safe boxes for phone charging for a small fee. Fresh local eggs for sale. Although there are two toilets, two showers and two washing up stations for the site, I rarely had to wait.

Just be aware that if the forecast is on the slightly more windy side, and you're in a tent, you will definitely notice it. It's an exposed site, as you can see from the photos. However, with that comes views and big starry skies. If you're camping on the UK coast, you can expect to encounter lots of weather! Just be prepared for it.

Owners were extremely helpful, location and facilities were all well kept and it was so peaceful!
Lovely walk down to the beach with a nice pub and restaurant, not such a great walk back up “heart attack hill”.

Narrow roads approaching site, beware of in a motor home or towing a caravan.
No shop within walking distance, so make sure you’re well stocked.

Great communal undercover space. Loved the picnic bench we managed to get next to the van (maybe more of these throughout the site would be good)

If you were to build another shower block in the future I would recommend a bigger one that could be a family/disabled bathroom as we couldn’t quite get the pram in the current big one. With 2 small children (as much as it’s nice to shower alone!) when camping sometimes to get the whole family/pram into one space makes life a lot easier!

The walk up from the beach is tough on the calf’s 😅

Perfect as always. This is the second time we stayed at this place. The shower is nice, clean, with good water pressure and hot water. Dish washing facility with washing liquid in place. The owner was so lovely to help us out and bring potatoes for us.
Just bare in mind that some days it may be windy but the magnificent view worth it 100%.

This is our 5th site in 2 months and now our favourite.
We stayed for a week with a teenager, toddler and dog. So firstly it was great value for money and within summer holidays!

Upon arrival you can select an available pitch from a number system on a board (which we love). Each pitch is well spaced out and highlighted by red and green posts. All of the pitches are along a fence (with sheep and cows in the next fields) which means no one will be next to your pitch or distracting from your stunning views, leaving loads of space available for games. There are a number of water points and picnic benches along the stretch. There are basic but clean amenities and several small touches that I found great such as, Free use of a freezer and fridge, extra picnic bench’s undercover, there was even fresh eggs available (which we had for several breakfasts).

Paul is also an amazing host. Very welcoming, gave us the tips on where to go in the area. Also helped us get a fire going one evening as the Cornish wind was defeating us 😅 and had skewers available for marshmallows as we had forgotten.

Lastly the view! We camped further down the field and it was worth it! We could see from St Micheals Chapel to Looe and all the stunning fields around. We also had a few clear nights so the stars were out and not heavily impacted by the light pollution from Plymouth. We even caught a few shooting stars.

There was so little to dislike, but it is low amenities as stated. There are 2 showers and 3 toilets available, but we never had an issue with these or needed to queue.
As the pitches are in one line, the field is long, so if you struggle with needing the bathroom I would advise a closer pitch.
Also Cornwall I have discovered is not very flat! 😂 so the walk from the site to the beach is steep, so if you have any mobility issues bare this is mind, although a very brief drive to Downderry or Seaton and parking available.
