Turned up late but was met by a super guy, very cheerful, extremely happy to help. Pitch was nice and flat and site very quiet. The wind was horrendous all night but the pitch was nicely protected by surrounding trees so no real bother. Never used the facilities so can't comment on these.

Site is a little remote and only available pubs etc are a 20 min walk away on a fast road so not ideal for dogs.

A lovely location close to the River Tyne and conveniently close to Hadrians wall and it's historical sites. Newcastle City Centre and the Gateshead Metro Centre are a short drive away.
This friendly site is under development with more fully serviced pitches planned. The toilet block is an old building but it is clean, however if you are using your own facilities it shouldn't bother you. I would definitely stay there again.

All facilities on pitch - grey/fresh & EHU. It looks recently renovated. Warm welcome from Gordon the Warden. Happily we didn’t have to use the very tired facilities. Could not find bins, and forgot to ask upon arrival..
Great cafe at Tyne Riverside Park. Nearest pub doesn’t allow dogs.

Although we knew how much it was before arriving - £35 per night seems a little expensive, and if we had to use the facilities, we would not have been happy

Service pitch was excellent, warden was very friendly and helpful.

The shower and loo facilities were the worst that we have experienced on any site. They were cold, and only a single shower and loo cubicle in the gents. Fortunately, we did not have to use the shower. Having said this, they were at least clean. We were informed that there are plans to create a new shower and toilet facility at some point.

Site was better than expected but it’s lovely small site could be done with updated toilet block a bit but all in all we would probably go back again in the summer

Large pitch in good condition as newly built. Easy parking and access to the site. Close to Newcastle. Quiet site in woodland area by the river Tyne.

Toilet bloke needs some modernising, however they were clean. Site still under development but can see it will be nice when finished.

Hardstandings were brilliant. The welcome was even better!

Loo/shower could do with being updated even though it was very clean. Price a bit steep for the facilities.

The set up and the warden Malcolm was extremely good, we arrived during bad weather with road to campsite closed but after arriving warden helped us get set up and explained all we needed to know.
well placed campsite for touring and local facilities so will be back again.

minor thing. showers basic but get job done

Gravel pitch, excellent from road to head; standing area large and totally level. Waste water drainage drain appropriately positioned for direct flow into drain. Water at each pitch with adaptor and solar light for nighttime use. Adjacent electric hook up point individual for each pitch. Very helpful warden, nothing too much trouble, welcomed and described all amenities etc. Toilets with shower facilities, elsan waste area, laundry room, good lighting for nighttime use.

No WiFi? This would have been very useful!
