Liked the large site, big open skies, greener concept was fabulous. Security gates on entry and exits across the site. Close enough to Thames to view large ships etc, excellent cycling opportunities with cycle lanes v close. Loads of horses and wildlife, birds etc. Hot showers, washing up facilities and compost loos cleaned twice a day. Great sage place for kids to explore as you can see and hear them easily.
Easy to contact the mangera/owners if needed.

Due to being the first weekend of the summer holidays a fare amount of children all having a fabulous time meant they didn’t always read all the compost loo instructions correctly. So…. at times the loos were a bit messy. These were always cleaned up promptly during the twice daily cleaning team. Next visit will be mid week term time :)

Nature area

Road in requires pot hole repairs,
very poor facilities,lock on gate requires improvement, water taps only at second gate way to far from pitch,over priced for no more than a field with water.

It’s well maintained. Very clean and have all the equipments needed (e.g. showers, toilets, drinking water)
The location is very nice as well, close to a pub, a park and just an hour of drive from London.

Had to message the site owner to get the check in instructions. Would expect to receive an email the day before. Might not be too confident booking on third-party such as pitch up going forward as it might lost in communication.

Lots of space and laid out well… close to a shop down the road and a pub. Camp fire lay out was great. Could get firewoord via honesty box under the trusty watchful eye of CCTV! 😀 that felt like an apr metaphor for the trust… it wasn’t really trust!

Quite pricey and actually our tent ripped in the high winds so we only lasted one night… and there were no refunds. Toilets were very stinky! Only one shower it seemed for the whole site? So many rules and conditions - it was like reading an apple software contract…!!! Taoist saying, “rules are made when humanity loses its virtue” - must attract a lot of the unvirtous! 🫢

Beautiful, peaceful campsite. Excellent pub down the road.

Inflexible booking amendment policy

Been to a good number of campsites and this had the best pitch lay out by far, fire pit and bench within the pitch and the grass well kept. Shower was lovely and hot, good room to get changed. Multiple toilets. Pub and coop within walking distance. Football area. Washing up area was better than most but only one sink. Entrance gates being code locked. Other campers stuck to rules quiet times were quiet and kept the campsite clean.

No host, would be nice if someone came round and said hello. £12 membership fee. Area between first entrance gate and second looked rough was worried when we first pulled in but after second gate was fine. No area for frisbee!

Simplicity and natural. Clean surroundings and very friendly staff.

The ‘No Music Allowed’ rule. Because at least a low volume music could've turned up the vibe more. But we understand why it’s like that.

The entire experience, nice soft grass so the kids could be barefoot.

Greener camping club, talking to horses, spacious pitches, not much noise from other campers during the week, great walk from site to tilbury fort

Boat noise, early rising children making lots of noise (6am) at weekends, firewood advertised but seemingly unavailable, gates a bit of a faff, only space for 1 car before waiting on road at first gate, no information prior to arrival, unaware gate code needed , didn’t meet owner or any person associated with the site. Only wouldn’t stay again because of boat noise.
