Less than 5 minutes to Asda, Lidl, Aldi and McDonalds! We visited: Watermeadows swimming pool, Sherwood Forest, Nottingham, Sherwood Observatory, Bakewell, Derby, Mansfield and Chesterfield.
Ik was niet zo blij met: Nothing - just be careful on the speed bumps!

The WC and shower facilities are always spotlessly clean.
A lovely, peaceful place that seems to attract a returning clientele of nice folks.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Lock on shower in men’s didn’t work very well and you have to keep button pressed on the shower to keep the water coming.
Thank you for your review, the issue with the lock has now been dealt with, the push button showers are designed to save water, however we are looking into weather or not we can alter the length of time they can stay on.

Good location for Sherwood Forest and other tourist attractions. Though the site was full I had a spacious pitch and did not feel overwhelmed with noisy families.
Ik was niet zo blij met: The site would benefit from a couple more showers and perhaps a camping essentials shop on site. I would have liked to be able to walk to the lake but this was for residents only. The website advertises a small library and freezer block facilities but this was locked up.
Hi Gail, thank you for your review, just to let you know, should you book another stay with us, the lake is open to the public, and for fishing, we just ask on the rules for people not to wander around the holiday homes willy nilly and for children not to play around them.
There are some benches around the lake for people to sit on and relax.
The Library and Freezer shed now operates on a key deposit system, as some campers were leaving the fridge and bookshelves dirty and untidy.
A £10.00 deposit is now charged for a key for the length of the stay and is returned to the customer after checking things have been left clean and tidy, these are available from the office @ number 16.
If ever in doubt of anything, please always ask either myself or Mick and we will be happy to help.

Toilets always clean and the staff are always friendly! My little boy loves playing on the park and meeting new friends! My husband loves the fishing lake until I go up and catch more fish than him 😳🤣 I have nothing to complain about!

Overall lovely, calm atmosphere. Plenty in the local community to do within walking distance. Will definitely stay again!
