What a beautiful campsite will 100% be returning

Cleanliness

To basic if your are camping in the rain (Coast to Coast hike), no hot water, no drying facilities, only two (not working properly) toilets.
No phone signal for checking weather forecast.
There is a shower in the main building, did not go there to far a walk in the rain.
‘Maby nice weather camping’ only.
Did not like there is no personal contact with the owners.
Did not feel comfortable at night.

Great location, fantastic showers, and had a nice chat with the guy that came round to check on us. Really enjoyed the ‘back to basics’ style of camping.

Fantastic Pizzas on the Saturday night.
Accessible Parking next to tent and easy to drive to.
Walking distance of Seathwaite entrance to Scafell pike.

Couldn't order more Pizza late on, they only make to order so if you have a big appetite then preorder the extra.
Myself and my 15 year old son could have smashed a pizza and a half 😋😋
No phone signal which I was using for maps, I didn't want to be on my phone but would definitely buy a physical map for next time.

The campsite is well signposted and all the information you need clearly displayed. The shop at the farm is great, serving hot drinks and treats as well as maps and gifts etc. The wood fired pizza on the Saturday was delicious. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The campsite is in a great location- The Yew Tree pub in Seatoller has just reopened and there are lots of walking routes setting off from the site - no need to drive anywhere.

Location of site is perfect, could be another toilet and hot water for washing pots would be good, looks like it has gas for boilers, but none was fitted. Showers are really clean and perfectly hot. 1 local pub, reasonably priced and decent food. 1 local hotel, brilliant WiFi and staff very friendly.

Not a dislike for me, but beware, showers are c. 5 min walk from the site

Amazing location. Can walk from the campsite to the top of Scafell. Hot showers and clean site. Great pizza on Saturday evenings. Owners are very kind and responsive to questions.

Some of the pitches are a bit thin on grass and limited flat pitches available.

Great campsite in a great location. The owners are all friendly and the facilities were always clean and tidy and the pizza on sat night was lovely! Will definitely be booking here again soon 😀

The nature on the site, all facilities kept nice, clean and tidy. Loved waking up to the gentle noise of the river. Easy access to great hikes around area.

Only thing was that there was no service, however from our experience it’s nice to be cut off from network.

All was great for what we needed. But I would mention a few things, not in a negative way, but just to be clearer.

- a lot of the van available pitches are not flat.
- we were explicitly told 5m was the maximum size and paid a decent amount for our awning only to be greeted by a medium wheelbase sprinter way over 5 meters & parked in an area that was coned off.
- No hot water for washing up or washing hands in bathrooms. That was hard to deal with washing up with ice cold fingers.
- not completely clear if the water is drinking water, we gathered as there was no sign saying ‘not drinking water’.
- the sign off the road is very small, hard to see in the dark.

The stay was lovely. The area is wonderful, great access to everything, lovely to be by the river..
everything was very clean and all facilities were super clean. Lovely surroundings.
