Really lovely campsite with clean facilities and a lovely farm shop over the road. Pizzas also available certain evenings which are lovely and tasty.

Close access to good trails. Peaceful atmosphere on one side of the camp. Polite/friendly staff.

Not much I didn’t like. I think some people would find walking 2-3 minutes to the shower a nuisance but it didn’t bother me. In wet weather some of the hilly parts of the campsite were churned up due to cars but this is just normal for Lake District campsites but something to be mindful of if car camping.

- Location: within walking distance of several trails. The site was next to a river which made for some lovely background noise in the evenings. As we were backpacking and did not have a car, we also appreciated being so close to a regular bus service.
- Facilities: Nice hot showers, these were a little further away from our tent pitch but we didn't mind as it is a beautiful area.
- Food: The shop and pizza barn on site were a nice surprise and great to return to after a long day of hiking!
- Hosts: We found that the staff both at the campsite and up at the farm were really lovely to speak to and on hand to help with anything we needed.

Showers are a walk up to the farm - something to be aware of, didn’t bother us

Loved the place. Managed to see red squirrels, an otter and great views any direction from the campsite. I believe this is the most beautiful campsite location I have been so far. Wild swimming just a minute walk from a campsite.
Saw the flood and how all water was gone in 4 hours.
Would suggest - be prepared in case of a bad weather and you can get stuck for a day (regarding food supplies). Short walk to a pub, which works from Wednesday to Sunday. There is a nice hotel restaurant, but would advise to book a table.
Haven't tried the farm shop, as it was always closed when we wanted to give a visit. Our wrong timing.

Nothing wrong, would be nice if a campsite owner could warn the customers about possibility of a flood on the lower place of the campsite. Especially if a heavy rain forecasted.
I believe it was not a life threatening situation, but some people lost tents (two) during our stay and some just panicked and packed in the rain and got on the flooded roads, which was not a nice experience for them. It is hard when you are not local and do not know what to expect.

The layout was confusing

Lovely site with lots of pitches.
Toilet and shower facilities with a sink to fill up water bottles or wash any dishes.
Had a lovely young man tell us about the site and where all the facilities were.
Lovely little coffee shop a short walk from the pitch.

Lots of spiders in the toilet, but other than that no complaints!

The setting was stunning. A small, intimate site with a good atmosphere.

Main facility was good but a walk from the site to the farm. Toilet block etc. on site was adequate but could do with an update.
