3rd stay here in about 6 years. Both returning stays we can see the amount of effort they have put in to improve the campsite. 6 years back the outdoor swimming pool was un heated, now it’s heated and has a glass enclosure. This certainly keeps the wind out. We were pitched on a new hard standing pitch. Shower block/toilets very clean. There’s also a huge outdoor TV screen, which was showing football. Small park great for younger children. The hole campsite is well kept. Great food in the onsite pub. All staff really helpful and friendly.

The place is just what my children like, there is a pool with a cover on which can be opened up, there is a fun park with swings slides a zip line an upside down play house amongst other things.

The food is always very yummy and the choice of drinks and cocktails is really good and good value for money too.

Only downside was the flooring was coming up just inside the ladies toilet and I tripped over a couple of times

We really liked the pitch we had, we love the pool and the bar and the food is always well cooked, the staff are amazing especially Charlie from the kitchen

Only thing we did not like is when people were pitching or parked blocking the gaps in the fences making it difficult to navigate to the toilets especially when it was dark

Overall the site was lovely, food in the pub was nice and the pool and park were fab for the younger kids. We were pitched quite close to facilities and a nice large pitch for our big tent. Had a soul and Motown band and singer on and she was fantastic!

The toilets could have been cleaner, which I know is difficult at times when busy.

Absolutely amazing hidden gem.
Great pitches. Great location. Kids loved the swimming pool. Will highly recommend it and will be back again.

We was on the bottom field, the power tripped a few times. Only had a fridge on as all my power is run from my solar panels. When I put kettle on it kept tripping unless I turned fridge off etc.

Lovely little site, kept clean and tidy, great accommodation and facilities. Park and pool was lovely.
Lovely Sunday carvery.
20p showers fantastic warm and pressure was lovely, don’t mind paying for good quality.

Staff polite but not great with communication, wasn’t really explained anything had to find your own way around.

Not a lot nearby if you want to walk out, you would need transportation if staying a few days.

No fault of the campsite but phone signal is poor so don’t expect to be streaming on your phone
