Beautiful site with plenty of space. Extremely clean amenities and superb location close to shops, pubs and walks. Would definitely recommend!

Unfortunately there was an electric fence around part of the site that we originally pitched near and we did not see the small yellow sign (I saw it was an electric fence but there was no animal in the paddock so assumed it was off). My 3 year old crawled under it to catch some rubbish that blew away, and 5 minutes later my husband shocked himself and suffered a lot of discomfort. I subsequently went down a wormhole worrying what would have happened had my 3 year old touched it. Or even the dog. We moved to the other side of the field and the owner, unprompted, then told me he was turning the fence off, but it was too late by that point.

Beautifully kept site. Warm and friendly owners. Super clean facilities... like the cleanest you could imagine!

Excellent facilities which were immaculately clean and tidy.

The surroundings were so lovely with flowers and trees and benches to sit and relax.

What a fabulous site!

I was travelling in my VW Campervan and stayed on two separate nights. The site is lovely and quiet, with lots of room in the camping field and impeccably clean facilities. Showers were really hot and powerful.

Love that they offer fire pits but didn't use on this occasion as travelling for work and too busy to relax much.

Nice walk down to the stream of an evening and noted they had a dog exercise area for those who might need it.

Didn't affect me at all, and not so much a dislike as feedback, but I did note people queuing for the toilets at busy times with children, so might be worth adding another toilet hut.

Some campers drove across the fields at speeds that felt too fast with young children around, but not the fault of the site.

I saw lots of families with young children on site, and as a parent who has camped with my kids from a young age, my only suggestion would be to consider installing a larger family bathroom hut which has a shower, basin, toilet and perhaps a baby changing area inside. It's invaluable if you're travelling as a single parent and allows you to do everything in one space. It's also a lifesaver when one of your kids decide they need the toilet again just as you've all got undressed and step in the shower!

A great, clean and well kept site. John is a lovely host, very friendly, chatty, and welcoming.
He had kept the grass areas extremely well kept.
The facilities such as showers, toilets and washing up areas, are very clean and the best ones I've used in a tent pitch site.
You can walk around the farm to let the dog off, which is also very nice, doggo had a stream to go in, and it's close to other walks and a mini town. He has great plans for the site going forward. So I look forward to seeing those and I will for sure be back to see him and the site again.
