The site is well positioned for some lovely walks in the countryside, being on the Wessex Ridgeway and a short walk through fields to Cerne Abbas.
Ik was niet zo blij met: Unfortunately the one dislike is out of anyone’s control - we were at the top of the site with only a hedge between ourselves and the road. The traffic noise is really intrusive with cars, vans, lorries and motorbikes whizzing by at 60mph+. In the evening/ night it was much quieter but we quite like to chill out in the afternoon and it was difficult to hold a conversation past the noise of the traffic. I’m sure for those positioned more centrally in the site, the traffic would not have been an issue.
I am please dyou enjoyed your stay with us, you are right, we do want everyone to be happy while staying with us.
There are many walks from and around th esite so great for walkers.
The road can be a little busy at times, it is only a C road but a lot of the locals tend to use it as it is a better road than the main A352 through Cerne Abbas. I have tried to do everything in my power about the excessive, dangerous speed of some drivers but unfortunately even being a Parish Councillor not even I can get any sense from the County Council, no one seems to be interested.
The majority of pitches along the roadside are for regular caravaners, and they don't seem to notice the traffic sound after being sited there for a while.

This was my first time bringing my son camping as a solo parent so I was a little anxious but Caroline made me feel at ease and gave us a lovely quiet spot as requested. Andy the maintenance guy went above and beyond everyday to make sure we were ok. He helped me pitch the tent, offered good advice for local attractions and always made my son and I feel welcome and involved.
The showers, toilet blocks and washing up areas were always tidy and clean.
The location was perfect for us, most beaches and attractions were only a short drive away. My son did not want to leave and asked if he could stay forever! We will definitely be visiting again soon. Anna, we are really pleased you and your little boy enjoyed your stay with us, i did save a nice quiet spot for you in view of my site guy in case you needed any help.
We do try and keep all our facilities clean and tidy, can be a bit of a job when the site is busy.
We are in a great location, righ tin the middle of Dorset with easy access to the beaches, attractions, mostly within an hours drive.
Hot Tub, now that is a thought........ :)

We are quite a basic site but we do try and make sure everyone has a perfect stay with us, we are always on hand to help.
Andy is great, he is always available on site and is happy to help anyone.
We do agree about comment regarding the signage, sore point. I have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for replacement signage from the Council, we are restricted on what we are allowed to put up.

So pleased you had a great time with us, even with the dreadful weather.
We do try and make everyone feel welcome and rlaxed while here. I think maybe being on top oif the hill helps disipate any noise but we don't seem to attract noisy groups, maybe having no bar/clubhouse helps.
We like our showers, they are better than we have in our house!
We do have some great walks from and around the site, with the Wessex Ridgeway going through the site.

We are so pleased you had a good stay even with the torrential rain and wind, we did have a bit of a job keeping all the tents battened down during the day, but the weather is one thing we just cannot control.
We do keep a stock of extra ropes, straps and covers to try and prevent damage during the windy times. I think parking our vehicles by your tent stopped it from taking off!
We do try and keep our facilities tidy and clean, this can be a bit of a job when the rain is hammering down.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, it is a beautiful area. We do try and make everyone feel welcome and are always available to help.
Our office is in the process of being replaced, after our previous one had to be replaced after our roof collapsed. We would not have chosen to do it at this time of the year when we have visitors here but we had no choice.
We are sorry it is a little untidy but unfortunately can't be helped when construction work is being done.

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay. You did have a lovely view from your pitch and we tried to make you feel welcome.
Our toilet block is a little dated but our showers are fairly new, they were built just before Coved struck, so were not even used at times during the pandemic.
The pitch at the top of the site, which I offered you was on the flat, but you did pitch a little lower down the site, closer to the childrens area which was slightly sloping, if you had pitched on the flat area I am sure you would not have had the problem with losing things off of your table.
I wasn't aware you had a problem while you were here, we would have been happy to rectify any problem if you had asked us.
