I had a fantastic time at this campsite and would gladly return. The place had everything I needed — nothing was missing. There was a shop and a bar nearby, and you could even order breakfast and lunch, which was very convenient. The bathrooms were clean, and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming.

One of the highlights was the beautiful forest on one side of the campsite — perfect for peaceful walks. On the other side, there was a stunning lake that made for great views and relaxation. You could also enjoy activities like golf, and I even saw deer and horses from nearby, which added to the charm of the place.

It was very quiet and peaceful — the perfect setting to unwind. You could have a barbecue, spend time with your pet dog, and explore the campsite store, which had lots of interesting camping gear and souvenirs.

Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. This campsite is a hidden gem for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature.

This was by far the loveliest campsite I have ever stayed at. No noisy children disturbing the peace and from the second we arrived, staff were welcoming and helpful and because we had decided not to bring the dog they offered us the choice of a different pitch which honestly made our stay, as was much cooler than the dog friendly area with plenty of trees for shade and within a few metres of a small lake. The place has a lovely woodland walk where dogs can be off lead. The showers, toilets, laundry and dishwashing areas were spotless. There is always somebody about to help and nothing is too much trouble. There is a little shop for snacks and forgotten essentials but our favourite bit was Monty's Bar which is so much more than the "pop up" bar described on the 'Pitch Up' website. Unfortunately the namesake cat, Monty died 3 months ago so we did not get to meet him. The bar has plenty of seating under cover and outside, nice decor and friendly bar team. There's even a happy hour between 4 and 5pm. If you do not fancy cooking, there are different food vans each evening including Thai, jacket potatoes, fish and chips and pizza. A bakery delivers each morning to reception if you pre order the day before. We had intended going exploring but it was so relaxing and pretty on site, we didn't leave and we're very sad to have only booked 2 nights. We will definitely be back. Disliked having to get our tent pegs into hard ground after weeks of no rain. Haha. Seriously, there is nothing to dislike. It's perfect!

on entry was met by one off the team who carefully explained the facillities and told us our pitch number and which way to go we found the pitch easily as the numbering system is well designed and large to see the pitches are level hard standing and grass and very good size water points were fairly close by all pitches had hedge rows between them the site was very well kept the shower units were exceptional and clean the bar area was great all the staff were polite and help full and the shop was well stocked. would definitely visit again .they also had a large woods area attached to the site my dog and i loved it

the only down side was trying to peg the awning down the hard standing under the shingle lived up to its name extremely hard

Friendly and welcoming staff, they greet you once you’re through the gate to give you all the info you need before pitching your tent. Great facilities and food choice for the evening. Emma’s Glade section is amazing, shaded trees for the summer and right next to a little walk around the pond (Shower block is super close too).

Low pressure on a couple of the men’s showers but everything else was perfect!

Great pitches and facilities. loved Monty's Bar and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good sized pitches. Well kept, tidy site. Very clean toilets and showers. Plenty of hot water in the facilities block. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Pub lively and enjoyable. Food trucks in the evening serving good quality meals at reasonable prices. Lots of activities and places to visit locally.

Large busy site. Not as tranquil as expected.
