Nothing

We’re used to camping at very basic tiny wild/eco camping sites, so this was a bit different for us. We had quite a good sized pitch in the woods. The facilities were all clean and there was ample room in the fridge/freezer. The kids enjoyed playing in the woods and they could ride their bikes. We all walked to the local pub one afternoon for a drink. Well worth a visit although we didn’t eat there.
The campsite mostly went quiet at 10pm.
We would definitely return.

We found the pitch next to us was a bit too close for our liking. I could hear the people snoring and they had a light in their tent that was a bit annoying as it lit up out pitch/tent. This could be improved if there was a bit more undergrowth between the pitches.
There was a large family group/s camped near us who were pretty disrespectful when it came to controlling their large number of kids/singing prayers at 10pm/shining huge torches everywhere and waking my kids up gone 10pm. We had to have words with them. That said, that’s not the campsites fault. Just annoying that some people cannot respect that people wild camp for peace and quiet in nature.

Absolutely stunning peaceful location within a huge wooded area. Great size plots. Van plots are seperate and away from tents. All plots dotted within the trees with plenty of space. Host was lovely and took into account the doggos, giving us an open and shaded area for them. Lovely walks around the woods. Pub close by, that allowed dogs also. Fire pit supplied with plot, so nice to sit around and chill in the peaceful evenings. Highly recommended for all those loving the less commercial and more back to nature camping experience.

Campsite setting was wonderful, very peaceful,and everywhere was kept lovely and clean,a real credit to the owners. Fantastic that you could charge electrical items and use the kettles. Shop had just enough of the essentials and a few "emergency " bits. Plenty of walks around the area for two legs and four.
The wheelbarrows are a brilliant idea.

Only criticism was the showers. Unfortunately this was more the other campers rather than the staff or facilities. The squeegee broom was their to use after your shower to help keep the floor clean and relatively dry,but most people either chose to ignore it,or too lazy to do so.

The setting was beautiful
The covered communal section near the kitchen was brilliant when it rained. The charging points were conveniently located there too.
The Kitchen- was well equipped - toaster/freezer/kettle
The woods was beautiful to walk in
The local pub in Rattery was a 10-15 min stroll
The fire pits were great, and you were allowed to collect sticks from the floor

The kids didn’t like the lack of Wi-Fi ( we didn’t mind this!)

Needed more hanging space/ or small bench to put your toiletries on in the showers.

Amazing campsite. Loved the pitch we had. The staff were helpful and friendly. Great facilities and easily accessible. Will definitely be returning.
