its says its a dog friendly site, but my dog was not allowed in bar area 0/10 ?
and the entrance gate was not very well sign posted and tight ?

The site,and it's location were great-there are a wealth of shops less than half a mile away.The facilities were spotlessly clean,and very easy to a cess.

Though advertising as dog friendly,they clearly do not cater for them.Yes-they do offer a designated dog walk- however it is way,way over the other side of the park.Add to this,the fact that you are not allowed to walk your dogs around any of the pools-even when there are no angling matches on.
We felt that their main market target was fishermen/ anglers and no-one else.
It is a shame,really,because the park,itself was lovely,and in a very good location.

Fantastic site with good pitches, great for fishing with it's own tackle and bait shop, great pub on site with fab food can even sit in the river on a bench and sup your beer whilst soaking yer feet 😄😄😄😄 shower and toilet blocks were immaculate will defo be back 👍👍👍👍

Not a dislike just an observation.....showers could do with a stool to sit on for less able people to be able to dry comfortably 👍👍👍👍

This is an absolute GEM! I can’t believe we found it on a whim. It was a last minute booking, there are 4 static caravans overlooking the lake, it was beautiful weather (sometimes too hot, British heatwave!). The caravans are quite private from one another with fencing inbetween and all of them have verandas, with wooden table and seating, it was absolutely perfect. In front of the caravan was a grassy area for the kids to play and fenced off from the lake so super safe. Everything was brand new and absolutely spotless! The bathroom was gleaming, the bedding smelt amazing, there was tea and coffee sachets along with milk sachets provided. It’s right on the border to wales! If you’re coming with children I HIGHLY recommend the Park Hall Farm, just 2 miles down the road and a full day out with pig racing, feeding llamas, goats, sheep, Guinea pigs, you name it! A bouncy castle, multiple indoor sandpit areas and soft plays. There is a pub on site which is fine for a drink or some quick lunch but with young children not suitable for a long stay with drinks, it was full of fishermen wanting a quiet beer, but still pleasant, I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this caravan hire. No wifi but the tv had Netflix which worked perfectly to entertain the kids. The sound of the lake and the fountains also means you can have private conversations on the veranda and can’t hear your neighbours if they’re out on an evening too.

The only thing which was difficult was there was no gating/fencing to the caravan between the fencing to stop the children running out to the car park or off the veranda. Would be helpful to have a baby gate to prop up. Also there was nowhere to post our key as we left before 5am to travel home, so we had to leave our key in the caravan
