Great location with lovely walks

Great location for walking, mountain biking and generally exploring.

What a site. Fantastic location with a brilliant coffee shop and local pub all within walking distance.

We had to leave to go back to reality.

Good walks in the area . Farm cafe only 2 minutes away served great coffee and home cake. Staff were very welcoming. A few farm animals including Donkeys Geese and chickens running around.Great locally run pub Red Lion in short walking distance serving home made food which was excellent and selection of ales etc. Very friendly staff and land lady were great fun which made for a wonderful evening. Fantastic star gazing on the way back to the site but make sure you take a torch and very dark road.

Gravel piches really do need to be relayed. We visited in February so this would have helped as made the pitches extremely muddy. Toilet block was OK but if site was full there is only 2 toilets and 1 shower.

Quiet, peaceful, great location for walking. Level pitches. Lots of countryside and wildlife/birds.

Washing up sink had no water.

site was clean picturesque, plenty of dog walking space. easy access to toilet and washing up and shower block which was very clean and with plenty of hot water.

Easy check in, clean toilets, good size pitches, well maintained site.

No pathways to water, bins and chemical waste. Only a small problem.

Quiet site (in Jan) that was easy to find and easy to check in. Clean facilities, although a bit of a walk from hard standing pitches, especially in the cold . Lovely pub in walking distance (The Red Lion).
Some nice country walks starting very near the site.

I did try and contact the site via the details on pitchup prior to my stay to ask a question but didn’t receive any replies. No phone signal where my van was pitched, which although not a major issue, as a solo traveller i like to be able to use phone for emergencies etc
