Lovely, quiet site in a very pretty area.

Good sized pitches. Rural location with excellent walking and cycling possibilities. Local pub with delicious food and farm coffee shop.

Unfortunately there was more to dislike than like - we had booked for 3 days on an electric pitch. We arrived to self check in and went to find an electric pitch - there weren’t any and had to pitch on a non electric pitch. The arrival instructions said to text details and they would get back to you with gate codes - we never did get a text back, we were hoping then to have a conversation about not having an electric pitch. The toilet block for the ladies did not have any loo roll in it or anywhere to dry hands. We left after staying less than 24 hours because we needed hook up. I like the idea of self check in but you would think owners would check you are ok and respond to a text

Quiet, small, clean facilities although the water pressure can be an issue but this was explained.

The site was well set out, each space was private to a degree with hedges either side.
There was a washing up station, showers and toilets.
It was quiet apart from noisy kids but otherwise was peaceful.

The toilets require more regular checks as someone had weed on the floor in one and it was a bit smelly.
Also no hand drying facilities for when using the loo but not the shower.

The pitch was good, the amenities were Ok, the setting/village/pub very good. The area is great for walks - with or without dogs.

The "contactless" check-in arrangements probably works - avoids contact with hosts and their contact with the site ..hence the overlooked overfilled rubbish area!
Damn flies ..but that's not the site's fault!

Campsite was nice with great walks around it. Pitches and facilities were good.
Great walking routes along the river with good maps along the way.

Rubbish bins were full when we arrived and overflowing when we left. No cleaning of the showers/toilets during out stay. Never saw the owners,no communication whatsoever.

Waking up to the sound of the dawn chorus and no other noise! Was blissful.
Lovely secluded quiet site with just the facilities I like. No fuss about pitching up.
Dog friendly with great walks right on the doorstep.

As they farm a small cattle herd there are flies about as it's expected. Not noticed on my first day as it was very hot and sunny, but the humid start on day 2 brought them over.

Check in on phone was very easy no problems. Site was spotless and also showers and toilets. Super hot showers. Plenty walking places and lovely pub not too far away. This was our second stop here and won't be our last.
