The pitch was fully service and no issues during stay, level pitch on hard standing with grass area and a picnic table. Due to the planning no is blocked from having amazing sea views and stunning sunsets in the evening. The pool area was spotless as to were the amenities.

Shower blocks were clean and tidy.
Free use of washing machine, dryers and fridge freezers.
Dog park was secure and even had a supply of tennis balls.
The pitch was perfect and came with it's own picnic bench (red kite pitch). It had bushes and plants seperating you slightly from the pitches which gave it some privacy.
Games room had 2 pool tables.
The pool was lovely and had toilets and changing facilities right next to it.
Direct access to a rocky beach.
Beautiful sunsets.

Shower blocks are also dated but are due for remodeling 2026/27 but still good.
Road to the campsite can be quite narrow due to the remote location, those new to towing might find it daunting but it's so worth it.
On our last night there was an incident with another caravaner which resulted in the police being called and someone being arrested. If this was our first night we possibly might have left early. The staff and police did handle the situation very well though.
The odd smell of cannabis from other caravaners.

Just to clarify, our open-air pool is available daily from 10am, and we close it in the early evening to help maintain a peaceful environment for all guests—especially those staying nearby. We understand that longer hours would be ideal during the summer months, and we’ll certainly take that into consideration for future planning.
As for the wasps, this season has seen an unusually high number across the region, largely due to them feeding on aphids in the surrounding vegetation. While there weren’t any nests near your pitch, we completely understand how disruptive their presence can be—especially when children are involved—and we’re truly sorry to hear about the stings. We’re actively monitoring the situation and exploring ways to reduce their impact while staying mindful of the environment.

The playground is next to the Peregrine pitches. We have children and are used to the noise.and the staff are very good at making sure everyone leaves at dusk. However if your looking for peace and quiet between 7pm - 9pm (the witching hours for kids on a campsite) consider other pitches or at least ask not to be sited in Peregrine 4 or 5.

The view driving down when we arrived was out of this world. The swimming pool was brilliant couldn’t get the kids out when they went in. The park was safe and we was placed near it so kids could play with me watching them from our patch. I really can’t describe the view sun set is breath taking. The beach is a stony beach but still good to walk on. We even had a visit from the badger twice which I found funny I was lucky to see the badger.

Tents are getting noticeably larger these days, and some of our current pitches aren’t quite big enough to accommodate them comfortably. Because of this, we’re revising how we advertise our tent pitches to make sure guests know exactly what to expect and can choose the best fit for their setup.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Joseph. It’s genuinely surprising to hear that after visiting every year, you’ve decided not to return.
It’s clear the **beautiful surroundings** still made an impression, but it’s disappointing that you thought the **toilets were in poor condition** and the **main field was only half complete**, we are not too sure where you meant—especially on a fully-serviced pitch like Red Kite. Maybe you were expecting the washrooms to have already been upgraded and replaced as the plans have been on display for a couple of seasons, we are getting there.
Everyone has their opinions and thoughts, just some make them more obvious than others, still dissappointing to see these sort of reviews.
