We had such a lovely welcome, this was our second time at this site, the first was about 10 years ago. We were shown to our pitch, told about all the amenities and introduced to the chap showing us around. We had a large pitch with a good view of the park, the pitch was slightly sloping but it didn’t cause too much of a problem.
There is such a great atmosphere here. The site is a short walk down to the beach, but there is a car park next to the beach too, it’s a lovely beach with lifeguards. There is also a small fairground which is a £1 a ride and a few clothes shops and nik nak shops too. A really nice pub/restaurant overlooking the sea and some ice cream places.
There is a bus stop directly outside the campsite and the train station is just down the road. We had a really lovely train ride to Torquay for £26 return (family of 5).
The toilet blocks are clean and tidy. There are 6 unisex showers which are 20p for 5 minutes. There were always showers available and also very clean too.
There is an indoor pot wash, a couple of washing machines and a couple of dryers. The on-site shop is very reasonable and they have a visiting refreshment/ food truck which was good!
The staff were very nice and they tidied every pitch before a new person came on. Also the park closes at 9pm and opens again at 8am so that’s quite good for getting the kids in!
Turn left at the mini roundabout and there is a really nice bakery just up the road, on the left 👍
