Spotless showers and toilets. Excellent access to Tarka Trail. Quiet and well manicured site

Not the most obvious of signage to get to the reception

One of the best campsites we have stayed a. Staff very helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy site.

Nothing to dislike

Good size flat pitches - we were on field 2 which had a large space in the middle left for the children to play.

We were shown to our pitch by Charlie and given a run down of the site and local attractions - very helpful to know as this was our first trip to the area.

It's a short walk into Dawlish Warren which has lots of seaside things to do and it's a pretty and easy walk into Dawlish.

Site is very well maintained and the staff come around regularly to make sure you are ok. It felt really safe and it was a fantastic site for the children to make friends and play.

Will be back again.

My husband and I decided to book a last minute trip to Leadstone Camping and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The amenities were very clean and I enjoyed using the showers. Thank you to the friendly staff who provided a wealth of information was support.

That the park wasn't too busy. Lovely place for the kids play and quite at night

We booked an XL pitch for our tent and it was a good size. We were in a smaller field with mainly campervans and caravans, which we were glad of as the field was a lot less noisy than the main larger area

A beautiful and well maintained site. It has a lovely family feel with plenty of hedging and big pitches. The site staff were very friendly and the reception shop stocks a good range of essentials and a tuck shop for the kids. I travelled as a single parent with a 3 year old and she was quickly embraced by the other children and I felt that she was very secure on site. The place benefits as well from Amanda’s sweet treats and this delightful lady is onsite everyday selling delicious ice cream and Sundae’s plus of course enormous candifloss for just £1!! Her prices are excellent and she is good company if you need a natter. The homemade cake was also a bonus.
Nearby you have Dawlish town which is lovely and has a fantastic butcher. The river runs through the town and is a nice place to spend some time. The walk along the Sea wall is great and waving at the trains to see if you can get the drivers to whistle.
Dawlish warren has a nice little funfair and some nice shops among the amusements. The walk back up the hill is a bit steep but I managed it both pushing a buggy or pulling the festival cart. There is also a regular bus service if you get tired.
We used the train to get to Torquay which was a fun day out.

During my visit the site was only half full as the schools hadn’t all broken. There are not that many showers and I’m sure when it’s full there will be some queuing. The 20p charge is excellent at limiting time though.
In the sink area I went in one morning and found 5 young girls hogging all 6 sinks as they applied creams and did their hair. I had to wait to brush my teeth which was annoying. Parents should be aware of this and stop them going up en mass.
