We have considered having playground facilities for older kids, but there are health and safety (& insurance) issues, as well as space and noise elements to consider (i.e. where do you put it and which pitches might be disrupted). We decided to concentrate on the animal experiences for all children, the tree and bush dens for the slightly older kids, as well as the communal lounge with the pool table and games, and have a small play ground for the young ones (6 and under). The pitch was an ample size with trees and large border bushes to shade us from the sun. Shower and toilet block was clean. I would describe the site as homely and relaxing. We initially booked this site to allow for a shorter trip to the seaside and it took 45 minutes to get to Shettersham beach. The games room was an added bonus for a quick game of pool. We appreciated the fridge to keep things cool and the freezer to refreeze icepacks.
We took our bikes as the area is flat and we cycled to local villages to eat out and shop. However there is a small shop onsite which was helpful.
Laurel Park has everything you need to make camping relaxing and easy.
