How safe the site felt, kids absolutely loved having that bit of freedom to go from one park to the next without me by there side after I spent first day by there side making sure they could show me there way back to tent.
My oldest 8years old also built the courage to go to the on site shop on her own learning skills shel need for life, this all goes with just how safe and comfortable I felt there. The walks right of from the dog fields are also lovely, we enjoyed the blackberrie picking in every walking spot we found in and around the area.. hired bikes were a perfect addition too. The toilets and showers were well kept and inviting in fact the full site was.

The ground was bit hard neighbouring campers also agreed they really struggled pegging tent down as we'd hit a rock most the time but we got there And once the tent is up we had the best time.

Pitch was quite big, near play park so we could keep an eye on the children. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Shop stocks most things and reasonably priced. Toilets and showers very clean.

Really lovely site, always clean and tidy. Kids loved the choice of two parks to play in. The shop wasn’t over priced so was a nice change to be able to let the kids get sweets and ice creams without it costing the earth, the lady in the shop also makes her own sweet cones for £1 😊

Clean and tidy facilities, very well looked after site and plenty of staff around at all times to ask questions if needed. Reasonably priced site shop too.

The site is ideal for children as it has 2 parks and a football pitch.

Lots of things around locally to explore and adventure.

We would recommend this campsite and will definitely book it again.

Nothing personally wrong with the site itself, it's just that our paticular stay with ruined by 2 loud families who didnt seem to care about other families with young children around them and kept there music loud sat outside laughing and talking till 1am, they also got into heated arguments with other camp members.

We loved our little weekend away at Golden Square. I'd visited Helmsley for work a few weeks ago and wanted to visit again when I could walk around and enjoy it. Golden Square was the perfect base for a relaxed market-town visit.

We arrived late but the staff were still really friendly and helpful. Everything was clean, tidy and well-organised with plenty for people of all ages to do.

Brilliant - we'll be coming again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Took my 3 grandchildren who had a great time and I was at ease allowing them to enjoy the facilities on offer. Now there pestering me to book again for next year. It was great to see the kids making new friends and having so much fun,in fact I hardly ever saw the until meal times. Will definitely use this site again.

A lovely looking campsite with excellent facilities, well kept and plenty of space. Our boys particularly enjoyed the park and the laundry space was useful. We used the shop once and it was well stocked. The campsite was convenient for key attractions and competitively priced.

Unfortunately a number of our neighbours were quite noisy, even when they changed. A 'quiet campsite' rule might be useful to reduce the impact of this at night.
