The site itself could do with ground maintenance and for what we paid it was very tired and tatty and the grass hadn’t been mown for example. The write up said it included a kitchenette which when we arrived was a toaster, kettle and fridge with no running water or cooking facilities.

So sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay..
It’s contactless check in at Elton Barn, on your check in Information the key access codes are in bold letters at the very bottom that says check in codes. The codes are changed on every checkout for security reasons and aren’t given to all members of staff.
The wash up and water stations are clearly visible from the car park and right next to the toilets and showers, there is also a log burning stove with oven, which it was too hot to light admittedly however there is an external bbq for warmer weather and also a microwave oven.
Glad you enjoyed the showers they are good. Cabins are due a refurb at end of season. Not sure which grass you are referring to as lawns are cut weekly.
