Fantastic site, great facilities. Dani and Sam could not do enough for us, fantastic hosts. Will definitely stay again. Good walks nearby

The bus to York was every two hours, it would have been better if it was more regular. Nothing against the campsite at all

Staff so lovely and friendly. Location is wonderful and easy to find. We have a large tent so placed on pitch 2 which has the most grass. Electric is on pre paid cards and £5 lasted us for 5 nights running a fridge, lights, charging phones, kettle and iron as required. Bus stops outside to go to York which was £2 each way and the train station at Selby is £3.90 for a day and ideal for Leeds and Harrogate. Tawny owls heard at night which is lovely. One shower which was a nice temperate in the morning but you need to press every few seconds. Lots of hooks and space.

Our pitch was under a tree and the wood pigeons caused a lot of mess on our tent which will now need a good clean, this is no fault of the site just keep in mind if you have a choice of pitch. The ladies toilet ram out of toilet roll on one of the two loos and as pub was closed remained like this and when the pub opened, still had not been replenished. Husband said the men's toilet (only one) was damaged which we were told about and a plumber had been called. Sadly it has still not been fixed at the end of the trip and my husband found it really awful to use. It hadn't been cleaned either and we went out to use other facilties. Due to this, men must have been using the ladies as I often found the seat up, door wide open and generally a mess which I would feel I had to clean before I could use.

Really friendly staff. A lovely clean site set in the village at the back of the pub. Very level professional pitch with water and electric hook up if needed. We didn't use the shower as we set off early due to weather but would definitely return thankyou

We had a lovely few days at The Castle Inn. Well maintained flat pitches with electric, which you paid for on a prepaid card. Good toilet and shower facilities.
The icing on the cake though is the fantastic pub and the delightful and friendly staff. Especially Dani and Sam should get a pat on the back!
Good freshly cooked pub food, with a good range of beers. They are also very dog friendly.
We would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.

A lovely warm welcome from very friendly and helpful staff. We were shown to our pitch and everything about our stay was explained to us. Very easy to pitch up and a really relaxing and lovely place to stay. All facilities were easily accessible and very clean. A completely wonderful stay. Will definitely book to stay here again.

Great flat pitch with good amount of space. Easy to get to from m62. Pub great, friendly staff & really enjoyed the food (dog did too 😀)

Warm and friendly welcome by the staff. Relatively small site with a very good pub restaurant. Facilities were very reasonable.

Could do with recycling bins.
