We only booked this place for some downtime and peace and quiet. It didn't work out. Also paying £1 for a 4 minute shower is ridiculous. Won't go again.

I am sorry to hear that our site did not meet your expectations. All of our rubbish areas are signposted, with large skips located at the site entrance, for visibility. Further directions / instructions can be found on the welcome sheet provided at check in. The event that we held was, as mentioned, private, hence the lack of advertising. Any noise complaints can always be reported using the phone number provided on the welcome sheet, which we always do our best to address - we understand that people are looking to get away for a break!
Our showers are coin operated due to past misuse and water being left running all night - again this is all described on the welcome sheet. Any issues that you have can always be reported during your stay, in which case we can have someone deal with them for you.

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with our site, which we do advertise as a back to basics grass campsite. In terms of occupancy, we do get fully booked over bank holiday weekends as many people are keen to visit the Peak District! We would suggest visiting at a less popular time for a more relaxed stay.

Thanks for your review and comments, and I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our bar facilities, with some of the lowest prices in the area! Our campsite's topography is dictated by its location, in the heart of the Peak District, but there are large areas of flat ground available.
Any issues with our facilities can always be reported while on site, in which case we will always send somebody to resolve them as soon as possible.
