With regards to being too close to the house, I'll just repeat myself again and say that no one is living in the house as my folks have moved out, this was mentioned to you. You aren't even near the house and the only people that can see your van were the lovely couple in the Bell Tent and that would only be possible if they were sitting outside in the sun but even then they are facing away from you.
You walked around our beautiful gardens (belonging to the house) and took time to smell the gorgeous roses. My Mother came up to say goodbye to some campers and mentioned that the particular rose you were smelling was a non scented one and you just grunted and walked off.
Yes we live by a train track which is quite a way away and it carries at the most 2 or 4 carriages. So not massive long trains going all day and night.
You weren't happy sleeping in your van, as you said so to me. Other campers commented how grumpy and obviously unhappy you were and that was when you arrived.
We are a very small site and everyone has plenty of room, you had a pitch the size of half a football field and 3 fields to walk your dog in and a half km track to walk it up to exercise.
You are the first couple that I flagged on pitch up to not be able to book with us again and I did that on the evening you arrived, much much later than you promised as I sat waiting for you.
Maybe research your sites more if you don't want to stay in one like ours? On a plus note, glad you liked the shower, we were all wondering if you would!!
