Thank you for the kind comments. I think the spacious setting is popular for guests who like their own space to relax. I will take a look at the door and probably put some beading around the edge in case we get another ferocious summer storm. Luckily these are rare as they have to come from a certain direction. The free range eggs for breakfast have proved popular as well, glad you enjoyed those.

There is no WiFi but why would anyone want to spend time on their phones when they could be enjoying a break in the countryside? There is a 4G signal however and the owners provide an external battery pack to recharge your phones which was very useful.
The stunning village of Polperro and the coastal path was only a 15-20 minute walk away (down a hill. Walking down is easy but the walk back up is a good workout! Haha). I walked to Looe along the path but depending on your fitness levels then it's also a short drive or regular busses from Polperro.
I loved my stay in the Shepherds hut and I'm still coming to terms with being back living in the noisy city. I could quite happily go back to my hut tomorrow.

That was great to read and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We think it's an idyllic place to relax and a perfect little base to explore the local area. Coastal walks, shops, pubs, beaches, campfires, nature and a large open space with a great view.

Thanks for the kind comments. We do get positive comments with regards to the spacing and peaceful location. I noticed one of the two lanterns had flat batteries. However, you can collect more rechargeable batteries from the kitchens. The two candle lit lanterns are also nice for ambience. Hope to see you back one day.

It's not the worst road around, however less confident drivers could come via Pelynt and towards Lansallos and then left at 2 x roads if they wish. Pelynt has a good BBQ premier shop as well. The sat nav can bed used from Pelynt using PL132QL. Maps and signs inside the site and at the yurt entrance on the gate. Simples

Nem kedvelték: It states on this website that BBQs were provided but they definitely aren't so take one with you if you're planning a bbq. The kitchen and shower facilities are basic. We luckily took a lot or our camping items for cooking so other than the fridge, we didn't need to use it.
It is located off one of the very small, single track Cornish roads and is a fairly steep uphill to it. Small children may not appreciate the walk back from Polperro.
Thanks for the kind comments. Yes, coming from Pelynt and towards Lansallos is a nicer road. BBQ's are in the summer house if required to keep them dry. The BBQ food from Pelynt premier is great as well open till 6pm in summer months. Pelynt spar open till 9pm each 2 miles away.

Thanks for the kind comments. It makes the job worthwhile and we appreciate the reviews. Yes, I think of we leave the key in the door, guests can arrive when they wish with food/drinks stops etc. Not having a reception also keeps holiday costs down, but guests can tx or Whatsapp me if you need anything or have a question.

Exactly that, good showers, toilets, mattresses and a peaceful location. What more could you want. Campfires and BBQ friendly and just 15 mins walk to Polperro. A taxi back up the hill doesn't cost much if you've had a long day or if you simply can't manage a hill anymore. Buses run to Looe and there is now a land train from Millpool car park in Looe to the town centre or to Hannafore, but Hannafore has free parking and it's a great place/coastal walk to relax and unwind.

Thanks Dawn for the lovely review (and feeding the chickens your scraps! They love different food😊). Kitchens are fully equipped so it saves guests packing plates, mugs etc. Yes, it's a lovely 15 mins walk down into Polperro. I usually walk back up after a refreshing cider in the village, but if it's been a long day, a taxi or all day parking are each only about 10 quid I guess as a one off treat. I try to be good and just walk it 😊 😇. Welcome back anytime.
