We stayed here for 2 nights, 2 adults and 2 young children. We had a lovely time. It was fairly quiet as we arrived on the Sunday afternoon of the bank holiday weekend. Was nice that you could hear the sea though at night. Staff at reception very helpful. Extra points for blowing up our king size air bed for us and bringing it over to our pitch in a pick up truck for us when we were having issues pumping it up as we booked last minute so couldn’t get an electric pitch. Main toilet block was a good size, clean and well stocked with toilet roll. Feels a safe site as there is a coded barrier you have to enter to come onto the site. Not far from the beach at all or from the town/ store main supermarket. They also have their small convenience store on site. Pitch sizes are very good (6 man tent, Range Rover at the side and still loads of space around us for sitting outside, children playing, campfire, bbq etc. would visit again for longer.

Such a great site. Me and my children stayed in the pods and cannot fault it at all. Clean and tidy with everything you could need for a short relaxing break. Staff couldn't do enough for you,really friendly.

What a staff team!!
We had a major tent disaster halfway through the week and despite the late hour, sideways rain and howling gale the staff helped us move to their camping pod for the remainder of our stay.
Great site, very relaxed and a perfect location for exploring this bit of Wales.

Absolutely perfect stay, me and my now fiancée had a fantastic 2 night stay in the pods,everything was spotlessly clean there. The bathrobes were a lovely extra for when you're getting out the hottub,great location with everything close by. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything.

Should’ve known it was suspicious when there was still availability during main season.

Clear that the management just apologise and make excuses for things that go wrong whilst refusing to rectify and also down playing critical errors/issues.

Avoid at all costs! Poor management. Poor facilities. Poor communication and horrendous customer service.
Did not feel safe on this site at all.
Had other friends staying on the site who are also very dis-satified.
Site states ‘family friendly’ and ‘Tranquil’. Don’t bother unless you’re going for a party. Certainly not for families and not in the slightest tranquil. Hell from start to finish.
I booked 2 Non-electric grass pitches for 9-11th August with my partner, our two young daughters aged 9 and 3 and my parents both in their 60’s a pitch next to us.
Website states ‘tranquil’ campsite. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
From start to finish our stay was hell.
I felt unsafe and my daughters and my partner were terrified. I had worries also over my parents and their safety during our stay.
While pitching early evening upon arrival on the 9th a tractor/digger was working on the ground near by us and this was loud and completely disrupted the peace and experience of our first evening. The grounds where we pitched were very uneven and my child even went over on her ankle due to this.
(I understand pitches can’t be perfect but there were many holes)
On the 10th we left camp at around 12pm and went to the beach, arriving back to camp at around 4;30pm.
We then went for showers. Which cost £1 per token for 5 minutes. The showers were very cold.
We returned to our pitch after our showers. A police helicopter circled the site for around 45 minutes. This again was very loud and upset to my 3 year old autistic daughter.
(I understand this cannot be controlled).
Me and my partner were about to pop out and get some supplies for dinner when several police cars sped around onto the site. There were armed police also. Carrying machine guns and some in riot gear. This absolutely terrified both of my daughters and my partner. I had to approach myself not knowing what was going on reception to see what was happening and if we needed to leave the campsite.
We were told the police were looking for a suspect who’d been involved in an incident on the beach and who was carrying a weapon. We were told that this was nothing to worry about. I did not understand how this could be guaranteed.
When back at site the camping field was very full. Opposite our pitch a male and two females turned up with 5/6 children. These children were climbing on the roof of the cars, bonnets. The male then drove his Range Rover around with the small children on the bonnet and roof and was slamming the brakes on which would cause the children to jolt and almost fall off.
My children were witnessing this.
The children were completely out of control for the whole evening, shouting, screaming, playing with battery operated machine gun toys.
There were also a group of teens playing drum and bass very loud on repeat.
Not once was this picked up on my staff who ‘patrolled’. Neither did I see any staff patrol the scamping area whilst I was there.
The site was very loud until way past midnight. With cars driving around and headlights.
The next morning when we were leaving my partner took our two young children for showers. Again they were freezing cold which was very distressing to my 3 year old who already has a fear of showers.
The response I got from the campsite was in my eyes unacceptable. Passing blame else where. And stating they were sorry if the showers were ‘a bit cold’.
I responded again and asked for a refund.
All of the correspondence I have sent after their one reply have been ignored.

Great views, clean facilities, good location - walk to beach, short drive to Borth-y-Gest.

Having to purchase shower tokens. Not much space to get changed within shower blocks/ no benches to rest clothes so made it difficult not to drop things on the wet floor. Could have done with more sink space in loos to pop toiletries down rather than having to put on the floor. Lots of rules everywhere which set an immediately unfriendly tone- given paper copy of rules list as well as rules on boards all over the campsite. Would suggest striking a more welcoming tone with also putting some welcomes and enjoys and local attractions within paperwork! Not the site owners fault but likely the location but did seem to be lots of rowdy families and kids out until very late being really noisy! But not the sites fault just one to mention if you like a more chilled campsite vibe.

Ease of site, everything in walking distance I.e showers and toilets and shop/ reception etc.
site staff was very nice too

The driveway was atrocious it has damaged the front suspension on my vehicle and now has to be replaced due to hitting all the potholes on way into the site from there driveway,
Some people letting the place down from being noisy and smoking cannabis on site which made us feel like leaving.

Nice and quiet location, amazing view. Neighbours went quite right after midnight so we managed get a decent sleep. We checked in at midnight, no issues with it.

Toilets need significant work done - the main one for women was out of order, and the one on field was tiny , couldn't use it with my kid, dirty, no toilet roll.

We stayed in the clamping pod and it was lovely.
The pod was immaculate and so homely and the hot tub made it even better , we enjoyed every minute.
Great location aswell as it easy to walk to the beach .

Locations great by beach. Pitches were decent with hillside views. Friendly staff, shop on site, very secure and safe for kids

Toliet block was dated and seemed to have a lot of wasted space within the toliet. Road in is rough and full of pot holes.
