Fantastic peaceful location in the Borrowdale Valley. The only noise was the wind blowing through the trees and the river flowing by

It’s only a minor dislike and not really an issue, but the shower block was located about a 5 minute walk from the campsite

How clean, tidy and well laid out the camp site was.
The toilets and washing up point was always clean and stocked up, warm water too! Tho it tended to run out for the morning breakfast pot wash.
Pitches were clearly labelled and Daniel was very friendly and informative about the camp.
There is a walk to the showers and it says it's 6 minutes but I'd say it's shorter than that.
Shower cubicles are very large, clean and warm, there's also a separate room with a hair dryer and a freezer for icepacks.

Would be better to pay per pitch rather than per person but I understand quite a few campsites do charge this way.

Location, facilities and just about everything

We really enjoyed our stay at Seatoller Farm. The peacefulness of the small and simple campsite next to the river made for a lovely stay. The location is a great starting point for lots of walks and only a short drive away from Buttermere and Keswick. The Yew Tree pub 5 minutes down the road was also great.

Good facilities, beautiful spot

We went to Climb Scaffel (Due to heat we had to cancel the climb).
- The location to the Mountain Range for Scaffel Pike was really nice, it was further away but quieter, picturesque and one with nature.
- The facilities, Toilets, public wash sinks were incredibly clean , well looked after and seemed to be monitored daily. (these are open 24/7)
- Theirs a variety of different pitches in the lower fields, away from the main entrance, some towards the river or even several spaces for Vans.
- Their are showers, but not onsite. These are about a 5minute walk. The hosts(I believe Dan and Ruby) are incredibly useful, communication is very well.

A Bonus is that most of the pitches seem to be covered by the Trees/shade.

The only disadvatnage is that our Pitch (1+2) were incredibly hard to peg the tends down into the ground.

We're all experienced at camping, but some of the tent pegs would even dent the ground. (It is worth noting we arrived late).

Location, clean and loved all the animals , eggs and marmalade were wonderful , owner very helpful, definitely be aware this is a a working farm so expect noise, it didn’t bother us

Nothing l can think of

That there was no signal so we could switch off. The access to hikes from the campsite. The local pub has delicious food after a long day hiking!

The two toilets for ladies were clean.
Would have enjoyed this campsite about 40 years ago, when I was a fit, young and lived in an urban area.

Difficult to find a level and non boggy pitch for campervan.
Only one toilet for men, which lead to a queue in the morning...(which may lead men to have a "wild wee" instead, which I feel is not hygienic on a campsite!)
No hot water for washing up.
Had not realized showers were off site - concerned about walking along the lane then main road, in twilight / dark. No pavement in lane. Small verge on main road.
Received e-mail information details regarding shower location after we had left home. Would have been nice to have received it at time of booking.
