Location to Laugharne. Toilet/shower/dishwashing block. Bar and Cafe (which we did not use, but they were available, and prices looked reasonable.) Open space. Friendly staff.
It is a simple site, really, by having toilets and a place to wash in. We read the negative comments about the toilets. We were happy with them, and believe me, my wife is really picky! (The ladies were nicer, in my view.)

We picked this site primarily for its location. That it was cleaner than expected was a blessing.

The toilet blocks were clean and much better than some people described. However, there were some cobwebs around the windows. I think my children would have appreciated it if they had been removed more frequently.

Quiet

Dirty toilet/shower blocks and dishwash areas, they were over run with dead or dying insects, new and old cobwebs and unmopped/unswept floors.

The pitches all appeared unused for sometime (green as normal grass is with no yellowing patches typically seen on well used site pitches).

▪︎ No other campers or kids,
▪︎ No-nobody, it was deserted, lonely in an evening when the little one went to sleep (went as a lone parent with a child under 10yrs).
▪︎ No WiFi was offered
▪︎ No playground for kids
▪︎ The nearest village (Laugharne) had hardly any amenities or offerings open, three pubs closed, one chippy under reconstruction, a butty van that can't tell the time or days of the week and a cafe that does not do brunches or fried breakfasts but does sell soups or salmon sandwiches. The local castle is overly expensive for the 45 minutes it takes to see every blade of grass and pebble in there twice over and provides no toilet facilities you must leave the castle and pay to use public street toilets then climb back up a steep hill to return to the castle (no re-entry fee that's good just be sure to tell them why you are leaving).
▪︎ Pendine (Pendine Sands (4.5 miles away) is a private holiday resort open to public but expensive as hell).
▪︎ St Clears is the best place to go but it's miles and miles for say a bag of sugar after 7pm be sure to make it worth while, little activities to do in St Clears also. It all seems further west towards Pembrokeshire.

Lovely campsite, had all the basic amenities. Small site with a bar and music in the middle. 9min drive to Pendine, few mins drive into Laugharne. The owner was very kind and loaned me a electric hook up extension as mine had stopped working, Thank you ☺️
My well behaved chocolate lab was allowed to be left off the lead, although he doesn’t leave my side so not really a problem to anyone else!

The toilet, shower & washing up block could do with a hoover every now and again, although clean (cleaner than others I’ve visited!) the spiders, cobwebs and dead flies squished on some of the walls and in most corners could do with being swept away!

Lovely warm welcome. Site looked well kept and easy to locate pitch. Great views. Had everything we needed. Thank you!

Just a preference - would prefer to have specific Male / Female toilets. I don't like having to clear up pee from the floor or seat, just so I can avoid stepping/sitting in it. Overall the toilets were very clean and the above comment is a reflection on the users, not the site owners, as they can't be there 24/7 to clear up after people, nor should they have to.

Area

Loos and shower block .. not enough loos and although loos were clean the window seals were cobweb city . One shower block I wouldn’t even shower my dog in it !

Nice welcome on arrival. Flat grass pitch with electric. Good location for visiting Laugharne, with lovely walk in taking in the Dylan birthday walk. Radiator on in the showers which was nice on a chilly morning. Everything clean.

Wash-up area was a bit basic but ok. Everything pretty much good.

We loved this site it was friendly and welcoming the Saturday night entertainment was brilliant and really got all the campers out and mingling. The atmosphere was great regardless of the rain. The toilets & showers were lovely & clean. All amenities were spot on and perfect for our requirements

Owners were very friendly, the pitch was well kept. The toilets and showers were good and water temperature was great. Live entertainment on the Saturday night and it was pretty good! Overall we enjoyed our stay.

There needs to be regular cleaning of the showers and toilets. On our last morning they were really dirty.
