Really hidden away site and great people who own it.

Definitely a experience that I'll do again

This was our first time camping as a family and we left it to last minute to find somewhere to stay and this place came up so we was a little nervous about where we was going to be staying but what a pleasant surprise this place was GREAT! There was plenty for the kids to and a bar for the adults in a beautiful location where you can pick your own camping spot I would highly recommend and we will be returning!!

The owners Matt and Tracey were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They also worked behind the bar so available for any questions if needed. The site was beautiful, lots of quiet little areas in woods to camp up instead of a plain field. Great views. Bar was brilliant, such a great idea and so chilled.

I must say I am not an experienced camper so for me personally the facilities were very basic but I guess the clue is in the name...wild camping!

Fantastic site with a huge variety of potential pitches to choose from. Staff are very welcoming and attentive, the bar area is a great touch with a nice array of drinks, and the facilities were excellent (especially given it's a wild campsite)!

That I couldn't stay longer!

We loved our night wild camping, we found a nice spot in the woods which was just perfect. The kids loved it and the toilet and showers was a big added bonus. The bar area was lovely plenty of seating and lit up beautifully. A good torch is a must at night time to get around as it’s really dark but it’s awesome for seeing the stars. We was a family of 4 with an 11 and 16 year old, very little phone signal but they didn’t complain about it as they was too busy having fun amongst the trees, helping make the fire and toasting marshmallows. Would love to visit again and do more than one night. Thank you.

This is not a dislike to the site in the slightest it didn’t effect how much we enjoyed it, however I feel that people who wild camp should remember to take there rubbish with them (or in this case use the bins provided) we walked through and cleared the area before we set up which was left with empty cans, bottles in the edges and lots of metal bottle tops and metal parts off disposable bbqs. Not only for the environment and safety of the wildlife but for other campers too and respect for the owners who have obviously put a lot into opening the site so you can come and have a good time.

Straightaway as we turned up on site we were greeted by the owners who asked where we wanted to pitch up. Matthew took us to a secluded spot in the woods and it was perfect just us and the trees. Perfect for 2 cracking nights sleep and a bbq morning and evening. We ventured to the bar both nights and it was spot on a good selection of beers. Used the facilities and the showers were an absolute life saver for the start of a busy day.

Coming home

As soon as we arrived we were Wowed... Beautiful site and just what we had searched for and hoped for in reality

We found our pitch with help for owner he offered us where ever we wanted and together found our wild beautiful place for our 2 nights camping experience our first i may add as a family with nearly 5yr old and our 2yr old dog

Nothing!!! all wonderful experience

Super friendly atmosphere. Wild camp spots with beautiful heather, woodland, stunning views and campfires. So many places for children to explore. Tracey and Matt who run the campsite are great and the bar on site is an added bonus. Definitely recommend it for anyone.
