Leaving!!

First of all, the lady on reception was rude to us when explaining the campsite security gate. We were made to feel like we were inconveniencing her.
The campsite itself was supposed to be situated around a lake, the photos on the website made it look idyllic. The reality was a far cry from this! It resembled a swamp and much of it was closed, we were not informed of this until we arrived. Everything was very run down, graffiti everywhere and the facilities were filthy and dated.
In addition to this, the site is right next to a main road, the road noise meant we had no sleep.
We both became ill (we suspect cleanliness of the campsite could be the reason for this).

We chose this site for the lake and water slide. The views of Mont Blanc were spectacular. And the kids enjoyed the lake and swimming out to the inflatables. They also loved seeing the 50 year old GIANT carp fish in the lake.
There’s a wonderful Boulangerie nearby that we very much enjoyed.

The site is sandwiched between a railway and a motorway! I didn’t clock that when booking, but it was ok (after the first night when the noise of the train woke me with a start!). There is also fairly loud noise/ music from the next door campsite. So this is not a quite wilderness experience, so you just need to be prepared for a different, and very pleasant overall, experience.
The lake was not as clear or plant free as I’d hoped for- but I find plants in water terrifying!
The kids said that the joints in slide made it painful to go down. Others had no problem though.

Two brilliant lakes to swim and slide, lots for the youngsters.
Lifeguards on the main adjacent public lake and beach.
One night totally ruined by crazy loud French music all night till 6 am ! Found out in the morning it was not coming from the site, but from the public lake and car park immediately next door.
Our new toilet and shower block was excellent, but we heard the other one was dated.
No wifi at the pitch.

Noise close to the site

Spacious site, no defined pitches. Views of Mont Blanc were amazing. Lots of trees for shade from sun. Nearby to private (included in stay) and public swimming lakes. Short drive to Chamonix. Incredible area for all sorts of outdoor activities.

Drinking water taps, toilets and shower facilities were tired looking and did not feel clean. No squeegees for the shower floor so perhaps bring flip flops for showering. The private lake area was a bit run down but did have a slide and diving board. Next to motorway which was constant noise, but not the end of the world.

Location spectacular and adjacent lakeside restaurant and cafe is accompanied by as good a view of Mont Blanc as you’ll get anywhere.

Site facilities need an upgrade, particularly in one of the blocks. Waste disposal very poor.

We were very disappointed to find out we could not take the dog into the restaurant. We had stayed previously in 2021 and this was not a problem. then. We would not have booked the campsite as one of the things we wanted to do was to be able to sit in the restaurant, have a meal and a drink and observe the fantastic view. Having checked pitch up and the campsite website there is no mention of not taking dogs into the restaurant although it does mention not taking them into the beach area which we were fully aware of. Interestingly, we were told that it was due to a health and safety inspection, but somehow the owner has their own dog in there. In addition there is quite a strong smell from the cesspits

Absolute gem of a site! What’s not to love? Swimming in the crystal clear lake being over looked my Mont Blanc. Cocktails by the lake and wonderful food.

This site has been in the family for three generations. The sisters and mum who run the site are fabulous, you can tell they are passionate about the site and the natural surroundings.

There are 50 year old carp in the lake. Cheeky ducklings that rode on your paddle board. Lots of ducks to feed!

We swam, dove, slid and paddle boarded on the lake every day for a week!

Loads of activities to do around and about. We got the cable car to Mont Blanc and walked off (3 hours and lots of hairpin bend paths)!

Water bouncy castle and zip lines 10 minute walk to the other gate.

Best bit… no insect bites!

Spacious pitches with shadow from trees. Two lakes in walking distance. Clean sanitary facilities.

When we arrived at mont blunc plage we were stunned with the view even though it was a cloudy day you were able to see the high pitched mountains. The pitches were very large and you were allowed to select one. The bathrooms were very clean and tidy. But when we came to the lake that following morning we were amazed. Then we decided that we will for sure come back to this wonderful place. The water was lovely with trampolines in the middle of it where you could sun bathe there was also a slide that the children really enjoyed. We had a restaurant right by the water and on a sunny day we enjoyed some cold drinks by the water.

There is nothing to dislike about this lovely place 💕

Beautiful lake over looking mountains . Could order fresh bread and pastries for the next day which were very tasty

Noise from motorway right next to the site which was relentless leading to two poor nights sleep (bring ear plugs!) facilities weren’t overly clean. Very tired kids area. Wouldn’t take much to tidy the place up.
