The campsite was quiet and self check in was available if you got there later than the planned arrival time . Clean campsite accessible to local town and bus routes. Good accessible electric hook up and water tap next to hook up.

Tent pitches are a bit stoney and had to forego some pegs as they just wouldn’t go into the ground.

Area and quietness

Didn’t feel welcome by the lady at reception, we had never stayed before so wasn’t sure how it all worked and was made to feel a little silly when asking questions such as tent pitch number, fire pit use etc

Nice campsite in a great location for outdoor adventures. Clean facilities, good wifi. Lucky enough to have an area with true dark night sky and all the stars on view. Torrent walk and the Precipice Walk were stunning with all the autumn colours.

We had pitch 18 and there was quite a lot of noise from the B&B and bunkhouse. People in and out of their cars that were parked at the side of our pitch and sounded like a party going late into Friday night. Nothing major that bothered us, but when we stay again in the future, we would rather be on the pitches that are further away from the B&B side.

Other visitors being loud during quiet hours

Sheltered pitch and close to facilities...but not too close.
Quiet..but there was only a few there when we stayed beginning of October.

Friendly staff ,easy to find , clean warm shower facilities great layout of site , campfires allowed which you can buy logs and not over priced

Road was quite busy in the evening but was informed by staff there was a rally on that evening
