What we are not so keen on:
Nothing to write here... its an absolute gem of a campsite!

Nice layout, clean site, food available from different stool holders, clean toilet & shower blocks and panoramic views from the cliff top.

The need to lean over at the Elsan point which was at floor level and the steep stairwell and long walk to waters edge.

We camped with a large 6 person tent on the Seaside Field. The field was nice and level, the grass was well looked after and there were little to no stones in the ground (making it easy to get the tent pegs in). The toilet block was kept very clean, there were showers and an under cover washing up area. There was hot water which makes life easier, more hygienic and comfortable. Although we didn't use the facility, there was also a fish and chip shop on site and also a breakfast van. The staff on site were friendly and welcoming. The steps down to the beach (be warned, there are 91 of them!) were less than 100 yards from the field and the views were stunning. The beach was very interesting and quite different from any other beaches I've seen. The beach was VERY long and it would be quite a walk to the sea (so not great if you have children expecting to be able to pop in and out of the water with inflatables). There was no WiFi, which I'm putting in the "Liked" comment section because I'm sick of my children being a slave to their phones / internet - after all, why do we go camping? To get away from all that! :-) There is a retail park only 1 mile up the road with an Aldi, Morrisons and a McDonalds so good for doing food runs. Apparently, reception also has a freezer you can use to re-freeze your freezer blocks - a nice touch! Finally, there is a lot to do and see in the area. For example, we visited nearby Framlingham Castle and at Lowestoft we unexpectedly had a free tour of a retired fishing boat moored near the end of Lowestoft pier.

At peak times, there was often a queue for toilets and the washing up area, this is to be expected but a few more toilets and sinks would be welcome. Water pressure in the toilet block was pretty extreme making it hard to wash your hands without soaking yourself, that said - it's preferable to the dribble you get in some places. The drain around the drinking water tap appeared to be blocked which made it a little wet underfoot when collecting water. I really am nit picking here though, the site really was excellent. Unfortunately for us, some noisy idiots camped right behind us and they kept the party going into the small hours the first night and ignored our repeated requests to quieten down. We could have called the warden, who lives on site, but it seemed a bit mean on the warden given that it was 1am at the point we realised they weren't going to stop. Perhaps a scheduled walkabout at 11pm would have helped?

Nice clean facilities and good access to beach.
Really liked that there was a play ground on site. Liked the layout of the showers.
Also liked that there was a coffee shack, a breakfast bar and an ice cream van! Couldn't ask for more.

Warden where amazing at keeping the site under control any problems where sorted out promptly with little fuss. Very well kept , toilets and showers were cleaned regularly , generally a good place to stay bonus that theirs an on site chippy and breakfast , coffee van , good access to the sea would come again

Not a dislike at all and by no means the site’s fault but the stairs to the beach are long so worth knowing if you have people with mobility issues but our 6 year old was fine with it.

Level pitches

Bathroom facilities not great - too cramped with sinks next to toilets. Need separate area just for washing/ teeth cleaning. No space to place toiletries when using. Very loud groups with little regard for other campers.

Nice camp. Showers and toilets really good and clean but a bit of cue in peak season. Fish and chips was good at the top of the camp. Could do with a camp shop as once set up in camper can't drive out. Really big site not really for me but it was nice. Bit noisy at night from people chatting but not a major problem. Make sure that you take food supplies with you. Great sea view but steps down to beach are very steep. There was no wifi on site which is hard to believe in this day and age.

Bins were overflowing. Cue for shower. No shop and pub is over a miles away. Not much to do on site but great if you want a quiet getaway. No wifi 😢

Scenic and natural beach environment, the stairs down to the beach are an added benefit and also offer great views. Nice little park and clean amenities.
Great food services available with quite a bit of choice including a coffee vender offering a varied menu of hot and coke drinks. Would visit again.
