Lots to do on site and close to a lovely beach

Toilet block and facilities were dated a dirty. We went swimming, which the kids enjoyed but the facilities were in need of upgrading and the changing rooms were dirty. We didn’t used the washing up station as it was so unclean.

Location is great at Ruda. Right on the beach at Croyde and a 20 minute drive over to Woolacombe. The Thatch pub in Croyde is always a win! Great food and atmosphere.

The park is tired now. I have been going for years, but the facilities are slipping. Dirty, in need of real maintenance and just falling apart. The swimming pool is being re-done which is great as it was dirty and just too small for the size of the park. Arcade is expensive and not very good prizes for your tickets.

The sand Art only takes 10 minutes, with limited colours and tiny little sand jars. In my opinion, not worth the money.

Very well organised site with all the facilities needed (small shop, laundrette, pop-wash, toilets/showers, wetsuit showers, chemical waste disposal) all in very good condition alongside the clubhouse/bar providing evening entertainment if wanted and multiple activities throughout the day to help keep any children entertained. For us, the close proximity to the beach was great and the reception staff were very helpful when we had difficulty using the allocated grass pitch. For the last half term of the season we thought it was very well priced.

A little commercial for us travelling as a couple during the tail end of the season and some of the grass pitches were challenging to get into with very wet/muddy conditions. The cost could rise significantly if you had children and wanted to take part in many of the additional activities.

Friendly maintenance staff. The reasonable camping fees, but then out of season, so would expect it to be slightly less expensive.

Probably would have liked a less muddy pitch, but the receptionist on duty did state to go back if the pitch was too wet for me, which it was.
Had a couple camped next to me, a couple of days into my stay, when pretty much the rest of the field was empty. As it went they were pleasant people, but I appreciated the quiet prior to this,and realise this can be part of the camping experience,especially during peak times.
Very basic facilities that need updating.
Difficulties avoiding the large potholes in the camping field.
Wi-Fi,part of the facilities, was impossible to log on to,or use, so used all my monthly roaming data.

Lived the site, excellent position for the beach, stunning sunsets and views. Friendly staff and clean toilets and showers. Would definitely stay again and recommend this site highly.

Spacious pitch. Near beach.

Showers very poor. Distance to walk into Croyde for facilities. Waterlogged pitches although thankfully the flexibility to change.

Grass electric pitch. Lyn field . Field is closest to the sea . Quick walk to the toilet/showers/washing up area which are all basic but clean, showers were hot . Also easy access through next field to main building, restaurants, takeaways , swimming pool, shop . Lovely walk through the Burrows opposite down the path to the village where there's 2 lovely puds with outside areas . We had a fab roast in the Thatch . Great cider (Ratler) in Billy buds . Takes about 20 minutes. You can go over the beach through the dunes and down the path . Bus stop just outside site . Staff on site all friendly. Lots of offers on food and drinks.

Shop had very limited stuff but it is nearly end of season so not surprised. Had breakfast twice in bar both days part of the breakfast was very overdone after long wait times .
