We loved being surrounded by the big trees and especially enjoyed exploring and swimming in the river. It’s a fantastic place for kids. Ours were shown around the farm and had the best time meeting the goats, donkeys, calves and baby goats.
The family who run the site were so helpful and welcoming and we felt really well looked after. They came by each day to see if anyone needed anything, kept us topped up with firewood, and even made sure we had somewhere safe to store our bikes while we were out.
The facilities were great. Everything was kept really clean and as a family we all managed to have hot showers every day which was such a treat after being outdoors. Having a picnic table at each pitch was also a big bonus and made meals so much easier.
We’d definitely recommend this site to friends and we’re already keen to come back again at different times of the year to enjoy it in different seasons.
