Clean and quiet

There was a dog off the lead running around the site, came onto our pitch i had to shoo it off, the owners obviously thought they were exempt from keeping their dog on a lead on the site.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend staying at the Portesham Dairy Farm. The site is very well kept, the shower block was perfect.

The location is great as there is a bus stop right outside the site, so we caught the bus into Weymouth instead of taking our campervan.

We had a meal at the local pub on the Saturday night which as great.

We will look to stay again in the Summer.

Excellent well thought out site. 24 hrs vending machines which stock most items, very good idea 👍 . Nice walk to local pubs which serve good food.

Wow, what a lovely site and location.
The facilities and amenities were incredibly well presented and clean. The layout of the site is modern and well placed. The 24hr self service food and drinks machines are a really good idea and we enjoyed a lovely cappuccino from there.
The added security of the reg plate reader upon entrance is a great feature which worked seamlessly. The pitch was a flat and spacious with gravel that wasn’t too hard to put pegs in or too spikey that would poke through a ground sheet.
The communication prior to arrival was also really helpful and appreciated. We arrived slightly later than planned so the front desk had closed but that wasn’t an issue as we had recieved an email outlining everything we needed to know.
We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the local pub which is really dog friendly and welcoming.
Great site that we can’t wait to visit again.

Fabulous toilet/shower facilities, possibly the best quality we’ve ever experienced.
Friendly reception. Great variety of vending machines at entrance - fresh milk, orange juice, ice cream, groceries etc. Great walking directly from site. Location - close to pub and village, buses straight outside, masses of interesting villages, towns and countryside. Free decent quality WiFi. Ability to arrive early if pitch available. Level pitches, at a great value pitch fee!

Nothing

Site was easy to find from the directions. Well managed with good shower and toilet facilities. The vending area was interesting - a range of milk and essential things if you had brought nothing with you - as well as a coffee machine, ice cream and fresh orange juice. Pitches were very level so little need for levelling blocks. We ate in the pub just a couple of minutes walk which was very welcoming and not expensive. We didn't try out the coffee shop and farm shop as we were only having a last minute weekend away but would certainly do had we been there longer. Will definitely use this site again if we are coming to this part of Dorset - close to Abbotsbury and not that far from Dorchester, Weymouth and Bridport so plenty to see and do in the area. Despite having a lot of caravans and motorhomes there the site was remarkably quiet at night

Showers were great, lots of hot water but the walls and roof were dripping with condensation - a winter problem I know - but made it hard to hang up clothes on the pegs without them getting wet.

Good size pitch, facilities spotless. Would use again.
