We camped in the bottom paddock which was a bit of a hollow for attracting dew so we were slow drying the tent for striking. If you're in a hurry, you might be better on one of the higher areas. It's a few miles down a narrow lane from Dottery.
Many thanks for your review. Most of our pitches are either flat or on a very gentle slope. You visited on the first weekend of the school summer holidays, and yes the children were fizzing. It’s usually much quieter during the week or outside school holiday times. It’s a good point that dewy mornings can make the tent quite damp for packing down. We do hope you will visit again.

Above all, the welcome and hospitality we received from April and Terry was exceptional. We got a bag of marshmallows on arrival, the fire bowl was free of charge and the wood (kindling too) was really reasonable at £5 for a big bag. The kids park was brilliant, very child friendly. We appreciated that everyone with dogs were very respectful, there was even a dog exercise field.
