The wood fired hot tub was great, the pizza night excellent value, as was breakfast. Lizzie is a fab host, we had 2 others with us who were camping - we thought they’d be in the meadow but Lizzie cut the grass by our cabin so they could stay close to us. Our 6 and 9 year old enjoyed feeding the animals in the morning, and playing in the park on the trampoline. They are very dog friendly too. Just brilliant all round, book it now, you won’t regret it!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the open spaces and beautiful surroundings at Huntstile Farm. We are truly blessed for living in Somerset, which is such a lovely part of the West Country.
I'm sorry that you didn't like some of the facilities provided and I would like to address any issues you came across. Can you email me and maybe elaborate on this, so we can make any necessary changes?
Just so you know: All our toilets and showers are on mains water (all water onsite is safe to drink!).
There is a trailer of 4 x showers down in the orchard. Each cubicle has hot water, and is ventilated with extractor fans and each one has its own door and interior lighting.
There are also 4 x toilets in the orchard and, although they are in plastic 'portaloo'-style shells, these are also mains fed and flushing regular toilets - no chemicals etc. Having them is the portable shell just makes it easer for us to move them around in the winter so they do not freeze.
The shower log cabin (the "normal" one you refer to) is also mains plumbed and takes about 3 or 4 minutes walk to from the lower orchard (there are a few pitches that are a little closer to this one).
Is it maybe because the toilets and showers in the orchard are separate, and you would prefer them to be one unit? As the ones in the shower block next to café are toilet/shower combined?
We only have 25 pitches in total and there are 8 showers and 11 toilets on site, which I think is a good ratio of people to facilities. The orchard facilities are there really for your convenience, so you don't have to walk the 3-4 minutes to the café ...unless, of course, you want to.
Please let me know waht was so 'unpleasant' - I am interested!
