Beautiful location and the pitches were far enough apart that you almost felt like the only people there and Ian was so friendly and helpful, made us feel really welcome!
The toilets were clean and had plenary of toilet roll and soap and there is even a place to wash dishes if needed

We loved everything. We spent two beautiful days in Holmans Woods, we even extended a day because we didn’t want to leave. This is a really special location, there were a few others camping nearby but you wouldn’t know - pitches are spread out and secluded. The perfect spot for a weekend off-grid.

Great stop for 1 night, the kids loved being in the woods, seeing the bats at night and exploring the streams and fields.

Holmans Wood camping spot is an absolute gem! The campsite was not only beautiful but also quite spacious, allowing us to set up our tent comfortably amidst nature's beauty. The weather couldn't have been better, giving us the perfect opportunity to relax under the shade of the majestic trees.

Ian, the campsite host, was incredibly kind and attentive. He checked up on us to ensure we had everything we needed and made our stay even more enjoyable. It's always a pleasure to encounter such thoughtful hospitality.

One of the key highlights was the availability of water, which made our camping experience hassle-free. Moreover, the toilets were well-maintained and clean, making our stay even more comfortable.

We had such a fantastic time at Holmans Wood that we can't wait to return. This camping spot has left a lasting impression, and we look forward to creating more cherished memories here in the future. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene and enjoyable camping getaway!

Amazing host, Ian was so helpful. We had a flat battery and he was so kind and helped us out. The setting is beautiful, we all had an absolute fabulous first experience of camping!

We had a great stay and our host was very helpful and supportive with advice. We parked up and walked the site to look for a pitch that worked for us and there was plenty to choose from and for lots of size tents. We were able to pitch in a secluded spot in the woods and had a great time

Lack of shower facilities is a bit of a downfall but only midly

Woodland camping, cleanliness, friendly, family welcoming, close to town centre, lovely nature trails, easy to travel to via train/bus.
Ian was an excellent host, very welcoming, attentive and helpful.
We camped with our 3.5 year old and had a blast.
A summer camping gem, in rain and shine!
