Lovely welcome and the view from our hut was amazing loved it booked again for about wedding anniversary next year

Pod was very warm and cosy with plenty of space for us and two teenage grandkids. Clean toilet block and hot showers. Amazing views and friendly, helpful owners. Pizza van on Saturday night was an added bonus as too were the fire pits.

Not disliked but could do with extra hooks or small seat in showers. Handrail on the steps to the pods, especially for older people with dodgy knees. Larger table in the pod for kettle and food items as had to put our food on the floor.

The site is in a great location with incredible views, and everything is clean and tidy.

The cabin itself is immaculate and has lots of lovely features like lighting and a heater and kettle.

The pizza truck on Saturday night was excellent, and saved us cooking.

The site owners really go above and beyond to provide extras that make a difference like a freezer (with honesty box for ice creams), pot wash area, a car-free site, suggested walks and days out, and WiFi.

Thank you to Claire and her lovely Ernest Retreats Site. We had never been before and were so happy with the site. It was clean and peaceful and the views were incredible. Such a relaxing weekend. The Ramblers Pod was perfect for us. We enjoyed every minute. Such a stunning area. Claire and her family were very friendly and helpful. A real family site. Wonderful space for children to enjoy and play also.

Nice site that still feels peaceful even when busy. The showers/toilet blocks kept clean there’s even an accessible/family bathroom. On arrival staff are really friendly and update you with things that are going on on the site ie visiting food trucks. The view from pod was lovely and on a clear night you can see stars for miles. There are loads of local walks if that’s your thing and I would definitely recommend visiting the heights of Abraham, which is only around 15 minutes away. We went on a rainy day and still had a brilliant time! Only a short drive away from supermarkets also Which is handy. Reasonable sized field for kids to play and let off steam. Everyone seemed to stick to the 10:30 quiet time ☺️

The site was great layout, toilets and showers really clean and tidy, the lodges were fantastic, spacious and had just what we needed.
