I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dodwell Park in Stratford, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. This hidden gem is a true oasis of tranquility nestled within the bustling city. From the moment I stepped foot into the park, I felt an overwhelming sense of serenity and calm.

Very nice well kept site were greeted by a very friendly couple in reception went through everything we needed to know were even taken to our pitch by a gentlemen who explained about size of pitch and even have us a few tips about size of our cable for ehu.As this is only our second visit to campsites and are new to campervans this was very helpful and a very different experience to the last site where we didn't even see anyone when we checked in.we will definitely be visiting again as it was less than 10 mins from Stratford upon Avon which is absolutely delightful by the river.pitch was on a slight incline,and facilities were spotless

Very clean site, the hosts where a fantastic couple, nothing was to much trouble, hopefully visit again soon.

Nothing was likeable about this very plain, very dated and dull site. Campsites these days have generally brought themselves into the modern era, not this time warp. It’s not somewhere I will be returning. Ah, there was one thing I liked…. The way out!

The warden! I watched this little jobs worth doing a constant round of monitoring of guests. Similar to the oppressive overseers of a Dickensian workhouse overlord this nasty little man seemed to delight in upsetting just about anyone.

You almost feel sorry for him as he clearly leads a very dull existence which he takes out on paying guests. A bully? Yes. Pathetic? Most definitely.

The site is falsely advertised as level so ensure you have a decent supply of items to raise the steadies. The fire gap of 6 meters is not being adhered to. I would recommend that you do not use an awning as this place is an accident waiting to happen.

Showered very limited but clean, however, very dated…. But functional.

Overall, not the nicest place to stay unless you enjoy watching this hostile, busy fool of a warden intimidate children, women, and those he considers a worthy target. Clearly has behaviour issues himself.

Toilets fairly clean

The warden wasn’t approachable, he goes on a power trip constantly telling people what they can and can’t do. He lets the place down.

We arrived and he immediately came out to see what length the van was etc. He then questioned whether our van had ever been used for work etc. It wasn’t welcoming. Our family had continuous problems with the warden, it seems he enjoys making people miserable especially women.
Pitches are very close together so don’t expect a lot of room for awnings and to park your car.

Reception on arrival was very friendly. Guided to our pitch, which was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, even to borrowing a broom to sweep out my tent on Sunday. Will definitely be going again.
