We were also told that theres “plenty of takeaway options online” we had a look as there was no restaurant and there was in fact 2 options, 1 of which was also closed for our duration, the other had a minimum spend of €15 for delivery.
The toilets and showers were okay, but were not all that clean. The showers were way too hot as well with no way of adjusting the temperature, so you could not wash hair, shave etc in them.
We were also disturbed by a very rude gentleman at around 8 or 9pm who banged on our vehicle. Only to ask us if we had checked in. Had he actually checked, rather than arrogantly banging on our van, he would have seen we were checked in the day before.

you arrived a Sunday evening ; the bar / friterie were open during the weekend , always in the evening but not on Sunday evening , why ? because everybody (most of the customers) is going home ...we can not open for 5 people...! therefore , we propose a lot of alternatives , with takeaway.com , pizzeria el Piccolino (5 km , come on the campsite delivery) , Friterie Spontin (open on Sunday evening , 1 mile down , a nice walking ...) , restaurant 'le Cheval Blanc' in Spontin , open from Wensday till Sunday evening ...etc.. etc... simply writing min spend 15 € for delivery , I find it is normal , a pizza costs nearly 15 € , 2 for 30 € , etc... you were 2 pers , I remembered of you ; I do not think I were the rude gentleman you described , but as you have seen , the entrance/exit of the campsite is very "free" and we need to check (me or my collaborators) if the persons already came for the check in at the reception .. and paid ... because they are people who likes to "filer a l'anglaise" without paying ... !
