Location and freedom to camp anywhere we wanted

No lights in the toilets and unsure where the Elsan point was?

Location, pool, pitch.

Facilities, were very basic, unit, no toilet paper or soap and worst of all completely unlit so very difficult to locate at night.

Briare is a delightful French town, bordering a canal and the River Loire. It is amply served by shops and lots of busy restaurants.
Camping Le Martinet is a site geared for tents, caravans motorhomes and a number of permanent ‘Glamping’ tents with all facilities provided.
Personal hedged pitches are available with room for very large tent and car. Water and electricity at pitch. There is a swimming pool, crazy golf, children’s play area and boule pitch for entertainment Bread and pastries can be ordered for next day. All facilities are regularly cleaned and staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great base for exploring the Loire region.

Swimming pool. Size was way too small for the campsite capacity. Chlorine too much.

Signage to drinking water. It was really hard to find it.

Pleasant green relaxed campsite with pool, showers, laundry toilets etc. large pitches with shade. we'll maintained near the lovely town of briare.

Geweldige camping! Heerlijk rustig en grote, schaduwrijke plekken die je zelf uit mag kiezen. Elektriciteit direct op de plek, schoon sanitair en heerlijk zwembadje. Niet te druk, rustige campinggangers, relaxed personeel. Ik was er alleen maar op doorreis maar kom zeker terug. De omgeving is ook prachtig.

Aanrader: neem je eigen toiletpapier mee. Dat wordt niet heel vaak aangevuld.

Spacious flat pitches, plenty of choice of where to pitch up at this time of year
Good location, between canal and riverside. Close to town and good for a stroll along the canalside with the dog

Lovely, helpful and friendly lady running the site. Clean facilities. Briare is a nice little town. Great (not too long) walk to very interesting aqueduct.
