The hosts and staff were lovely and so helpful.
We spent most of our two week holiday on the site with no need to leave apart from to get food.
Nice pool, outdoor and indoor games, great bar area where we met new friends.
The chateau is very pretty and we enjoyed walking around the grounds.
We me a lot of repeat customers. We are keen to rebook next year too

We would've appreciated a toilet and shower nearer us.

Size of our pitch was great and had trees surrounding 3 sides which gave good shade.

Facilities were clean and plenty of warm showers and toilets.

Swimming pool has varied depths from splash pool then main pool is 0.8m- 1.5m so kids can be independent.

Playground has plenty to do. But is well used.

The grounds are beautiful and the chateau is great. Around the Chateau there is plenty of seating and the bar is good. Staff are helpful and courteous.

The restaurant is fantastic. We only had pizza there but they where great. Bins and water points are everywhere!

Le Mans is a short drive away and has everything you could need if you need more supplies.

Can’t comment on the WiFi as we just used data roaming while we were there so didn’t even attempt to connect. There seemed to be WiFi receivers all over the place though.

No dislikes but a couple of things to note:

The shower block was a little walk from our pitch and the ground outside the shower block (pétanque pitches) is mainly soil and the rest of the way back was sandy so had to wash our feet when we got back.

Bring flyscreens/mosquito nets!

Bring ramps to level your campervan/motorhome as pitches aren’t completely flat.

We needed a longer hook up cable than our 15m one. We borrowed one for €10 returnable deposit.

Privacy of the woodland pitch, but still close the the central bar, restaurant and facilities.
Great pool - clean, fresh and surrounded by trees. Kids loved the playground beside the pool too.
Atmosphere was chilled and staff were helpful whenever we had a query.

Recycling system wasn't explained initially, and bins for recycling were a bit far away by the main gates.

The welcome staff were friendly & helpful.

We loved the set up of the site; you are asked to set up around the perimeter of the fields, with your door facing inwards. This gave a real community feel.

All the facilities were clean & tidy.

Each day we managed to cycle around 26 miles, some small inclines. Be aware that Google sends you 'off road' not too great if you have a road bike - as a bonus we got a few more miles in with the detours to avoid gravel!

After this the pool, in a beautiful setting, was our destination.

This is our third trip and with four nights at Chanteloup we continue to hold this little gem of a place in high regard.
A totally relaxed environment, in a beautiful and scenic setting.
We will be back!

Had a great time at the Le Château de Chanteloup, the site was well set with plenty of amenities for all. The staff where friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful site and Château. Reception staff very pleasant. Fresh bakery stall sets up on the terrace every morning. Nice shaded seating area under a large and very old tree where you can relax and use free Wi-Fi. Showers etc are in lovely old barns.

Can be noisy in the evening if you are near the terrace/Château area but did stop by 11pm.
Insects were a problem during our stay (August) so bring repellant and bite cream etc. Particularly annoying by the pool as soon as you get out.

The whole site is just lovely.
Great amenities which were cleaned very regularly.
Lovely bar, restaurant and outdoor seating areas.
Lovely pool surrounded by grassy seating/sun lounge area.
Fresh bread available every morning between 8:30 and 10:00.
Onsite shop, selling essential items.
Daily activities/events available for those who want them.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Huge pitches.
Always quiet by 11:00 pm.
Easy access to Les Mans.
Supermarkets very close by - Carrefour Market, Aldi, Leclerc and Super U.
Wonderful.

More parasols around the pool. Only 4 were available during our stay. Although there is some natural shade, provided by the trees and hedges, there were times of the day when neither the natural shade or number of parasols available was sufficient.
