Pitches are a good size with the majority offering E/C hookup and individual water tap. The site and all its facilities are tremendously clean, staff were constantly cleaning and mowing which makes a real difference. Great to see little add-on’s such as the orchard, bee houses, play area and picnic benches. About 3k from Hay-On-Wye, great walks along the river and plenty to see and do.

5 min drive from Hay-on-Wye.N'a pas aimé : The site managers mowed the lawns near the pitches on ride on mowers for hours on end when little children were playing and the constant noise was a deal breaker for us. It was the antithesis of a quiet relaxing holiday. When asked politely to maybe mow the lawn at another time, we were told, "sorry mate this is a working farm". We didn't appreciate that the owners forgot that what we city dwellers really paid for is peace and quiet not exquisite grass.

There were many wasps around, which we were mostly ok with but the site manager came and put ant poison in an area of concentrated wasps near where the kids were playing. They did not put any signs of caution or describing what they had applied. So no one was aware that there was ant poison there!
My little three year old came covered in the white powder and we had to quickly wash it all off to protect her after we realised what she had touched.-
The site backs on to a major road carrying huge farm vehicles and thus the vibrations and noise of the passing vehicles were off putting.
Hi Rehana Thanks for taking time to write a review on our site, apologies for the noise while cutting the grass, we do value all feedback, good and bad and I take on board your views, It would defiantly be quieter if we didn't mow the grass but maybe not so much fun pitching a tent.
We do hope you try our park again in the future, and if you would like to call me directly (Allan Park manager) I will personally make sure you are situated where there is no cutting and hopefully no wasps.
